In two separate incidents, as many as 15 teens have stormed Chicago Transit Authority buses, attacked their victims and darted off with cell phones and other electronic devices, authorities said Tuesday.
Both incidents were near the University of Illinois at Chicago campus, prompting city and campus authorities to issue community alerts.
In the first attack, near West Roosevelt Road and South Loomis Street at about 11:40 p.m. Saturday, a victim was struck multiple times before the thieves ran off with his cell phone.
About 25 minutes later, near South Racine Avenue and West 13th Street, a student said he was sitting on a No. 12 bus when as many as 15 black boys and young men boarded the bus without paying. The student was hit in the back of his head with a glass bottle and was robbed of his iPod, said UIC police.

I don’t think the yutes will be carrying. Now if I suspect they did, I’d be carrying my .380 or .45 M1911.
I take my 380 everywhere, everywhere.
Ah obamanomics works!!!!!
Thomas Perez, assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, announced that Obama’s Justice Department is aggressively investigating several big urban police departments for systematic civil rights abuses such as harassment of racial minorities, false arrests, and excessive use of force.
In interviews, activists and attorneys on the ground in several cities where the DOJ has dispatched civil rights investigators welcomed the shift. To progressives disappointed by Eric Holder’s Justice Department on key issues like the failure to investigate Bush-era torture and the prosecution of whistle-blowers, recent actions by the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division are a bright spot.
While the administration cracks down on the police, “community organizers” are busy organizing, agitating and “rubbing raw the sores of discontent” in the cities.
The headline from this morning’s Drudge Report:
Teen gangs unleashed on Boston Beach
And on the same page:

This is more synchronicity than I’m accustomed to. Obama’s network of community organizers just proved they can create concurrent, massive actions in multiple major cities.
This is organized. This is coordinated. If the Democrat-controlled cities are “Alinskied” next summer, Obama could declare a “state of emergency.”
It’s all he’d need. Martial law. No election. The coup is complete.
So while gangs of “yutes” run wild in the cities, Obama’s Justice is cracking down on police. Makes perfect sense if one’s goals include anarchy.
Not much. And the description "feral" is apt. They have raised themselves without benefit of adult parenting, guidance, or supervision through their short lives, feeding off the benevolence of the system and recognizing that they can get away with all manner of outrageous behavior without paying the consequences.
What they "think" is that they are entitled to whatever they can get away with. Call it antisocial, psychopathic, the narcissism of the street. There is no cure, but fortunately these criminal vermin do tend to have a short lifespan.
That is proof that the progressive elite truly do not care about the residents of the "hoods". If they did they'd have been calling for prosecution of the offenders when they were staying local as well as when they started to roam.
Since one definition of a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged, lets hope that they are in the next few target zones.
Not in Chicago! Between the perps' kinfolk who weren't smart enough to get out of jury duty and the bleeding heart libs, no chance!
We need a government program to give all inner city youth free cell phones and iPods.
That will cure the problem. /s
You need to do some reading on self defense shooting law.
Baloney. What is a life threatening situation if not being assaulted and battered by a gang of criminals?
Seriously, what does it have to be? Near death? Almost near death?
The obituaries are filled with the names of the victims from such criminal activity.
Personally, there would be a lot of people shot if a criminal gang attacked me and I would not hesitate for one millisecond.
>What exactly fuels the rage of these people? And why are they now coming up out of the South Side and the West Side and threatening everyone in nicer areas????? What do they hope to accomplish??
Its never been rage.
Perhaps they were down under in some of the heavily Democrat controlled states long ago, but it was never rage & equality is not & never was the end.
That was just smokescreen for the oldest conflict in human existence & it will break into increasing violence as the positioning for the power of the whip hand continues.
OMG, the MSM is growing up? Or they have given up on lying to us "by omission"?
Pigs flying?
Stunning development - 4th paragraph, you say?
I have yet to meet an inner city youth who was inexperienced in the real world use of a knife.
Bring a gun and I’m not kidding unless you want to be cut to pieces dead.
Most gang-bangers carry guns. You cannot carry a gun in Atlanta without a CCW. Maybe with one either.
Martial law. No election. The coup is complete.
No. Any coup must involve the willing military involved in beating down their families and friends.
Here, it is not a caste system entry level or conscription army like it is in most totalitarian regimes.
Very quickly, Military order would break down and organize along territorial lines - and remember a high percentage of us were or are involved in the military...
public transportation isn’t safe
I’m getting to the point where I’m about ready to start putting all the letters back into the “N word”.
