There is only one reason to do this and that is to control common everyday products and turn them into “special” products that can only be applied by authorized pest control businesses and sold by permit only to those businesses.

In addition to that, the cost of the products will skyrocket, the common citizen will be forced to call licensed exterminators to kill the rats that they used to do themselves, the issuers of the licenses will generate money through permits and licenses...better yet...have more power over the populace, and finally...CREATE MORE GOVERNMENT MANDATED JOBS!

Ain’t that something? In a single stroke of the pen new jobs have been created to handle the new paperwork and licensing (and inspectors) and the people are once again forced to use “licensed” applicators to do something they did before.

The last time they tried to protect ourselves from ourselves in the use of rat poison they used (you have to be older to remember this) MR. YUCK! Yes, that’s right, poisons had a picture of Mr. Yuck on them to warn that you should not drink or eat them. Somehow Mr. Yuck failed to perform his function. Now, they will use live people.

wouldn’t be far off that the EPA bans mouse traps because they’re so-called inhumane to rabies infested rats

In 2008, EPA gave producers of rat and mouse poisons until June 4, 2011 to research, develop and register new products that are safer for children, pets and wildlife. Those new products have enclosed bait delivery systems and less toxic baits but still provide effective rodent control, the EPA said.

While many companies have agreed to adopt the new safety measures, “a handful of companies” are refusing to comply. The EPA said it will “initiate cancellation proceedings” against non-compliant products to remove them from the market.

Time to ban the EPA.

It’s actions are detrimental to the health and well being of every Americana between the ages of birth and death.

The peasants must not be allowed access to any chemical or drug that actually works.

Old fashioned rat poison:

Mix half portland cement and half flour/sugar in bowl.

Leave a bowl of water alongside.

Rat eats cement, gets thirsty, and drinks water.

Terminal constipation.

I have found that the fabric softener dryer sheets will keep the mice out of a vehicle parked in a field.

That is no small trick, here.

The poisons rely on getting the rodents to eat them--which means they are bait. Sorta seems like an invitation to dinner to bait them, where something in the fabric softeners just keeps them out (repellent effect). I'll opt for the latter, but I still think people should have an option.

When the whole country is knee deep in mice & rats & plague of Biblical proportions is attacking the residents of the USA, then perhaps someone in the EPA will get a clue.

Rat poison, Edison bulbs, TSP in detergent.....I swear it’s amazing we have survived all this time before this bunch gained control. The Nanny State on Steroids.

I sincerely hope that whomever the next President is gets rid of this whole unelected bureaucracy structure. It’s a freaking nightmare!

With the banning of DDT, Malaria has killed more people than any other single cause in human history. Perhaps we are going for a resurgent Bubonic Plague next. The left does want to depopulate.

WT???

How many deaths and hospitalizations a year are caused by accidental rat poison exposure? Seriously???

How about this, we BAN WELFARE and FOOD STAMPS.. since far more kids are killed in families who receive those than those that don’t???? And I guarantee its far more than are killed by accidentally eating rat poison.

What absolute rediculousness.
