Could you see a Romney '12 sign in your yard or sticker on your car?

Posted on 06/07/2011 8:01:36 AM PDT by Sybeck1

I remember when I put a McCain sticker on the car and the sign went up in the yard. It was October of 08. It took of course him picking Sarah as his VP spot. (I remember just before that the buzz was Joe Lieberman was going to be the one).

Now as I write Romney is in the lead of our pack. He of course is not the conservative favorite. Right not he has three strikes against him and they are big. Romneycare which was the model of Obamacare. Ethanol which is just the same old crony ways. And just last week he stated he believed in the Global Warming Hoax. So now our possible saviour is against us.

Knowing this could you see a Romney '12 sign in your yard or sticker on your car? That is a public statement, and not just simply going to the polls to vote against the One.

I for one can't see a sign placed in my yard or bumpersticker on my vehicle, no matter who is one the ticket with him.

I’m not surprised as he changes positions as befitting the occasion.

No. I will not vote for Romney, even if it means Zero is re-elected.

But I remember 2008, when many, many Freepers did a 180 and voted for McQueeg. I didn't.

Obviously, your comprehension is lacking, I don’t get to choose who becomes the nominee, I only get my vote and as I said I would prefer someone else but if mitt is the nominee and I don’t vote for him you’re right it would be four more years of obama. I never said mitt is my first choice but if the choice is mitt or obama i’d choose about anyone other than obama, can you comprehend that?

We know we were only allowed to support Fred Thompson in ‘08, and Sarah this year. But you guys are already admitting that you’ll stay home instead of voting for Romney (should he be the nominee), thereby giving the election to 0bama.

That’s the difference between us and the libs. I’m sure 0bama isn’t leftist enough for them, but they’ll vote for him and get some of their stuff passed. But not principled conservatives - we’d rather stand on principle and let 0 run out country into the ground for an ADDITIONAL four years, instead of going with a RINO who would do less damage.

I personally hope someone other than Romney is the nominee, but if he’s the guy, he’s got my vote. Obviously I will not support 0bama directly, nor would I support a third party nominee. But I will NOT throw my vote away by staying home and pouting on election day, while 0 and his socialists have free reign at turning our country into their Marxist/socialist utopia.

If you feel comfortable in sitting it out, then go for it!

No, they do NOT comprehend this fact!

My feelings are identical to yours, and it is scary to see people here clearly telling us they’ll let 0bama have another four years as opposed to voting for Romney. Romney may be weak and waffling on many issues, but I do not believe his goal in life is to turn our country toward socialism. But that’s what well have if 0 wins in 2012.

0bama has wreaked a ton of damage in only 2.5 years, but if we give him another four, he’ll finish off the country for sure. People here seem willing to let this occur.

“No one will be allowed to campaign for Romney on FR. We WILL vote for either a Tea Party pick or support a write in. Have you NOT heard what Jim has said? I agree with him 100%. Romney is Obama lite. McCain was a Rino. How’d THAT work out eh?”

I don’t see anyone *campaigning* for him here. In Nov. 12 *I* will vote for whomever I believe has the best chance to defeat Obama.

Romney told Sean Hannity last week that the first thing he would do as President is to repeal Obamacare. Perhaps what happened in Massachusetts made him realize that socialized healthcare doesn’t work.

*****************************

I don't believe him.

Let me be a bit more clear: he's a liar.

The guy is not my first, second or third choice, but he’s certainly better than 0bama.

No, he's not. Why? Because he will completely destroy the Republican party as a vehicle for conservatism. At least with Obama in office, the GOP will be forced to oppose him. With Romney in office, every liberal program will advance and conservatives will be weeded out of the GOP hierarchy.

If you don't understand that, you haven't been paying attention.

So you’re honestly saying that you’re willing to give 0bama another four years to literally obliterate this country? Has he not done enough damage already?

Do you see that it may literally be impossible to abolish 0bamacare? And how can we possibly pay off the debt he and the dems have racked up in only two years?

If this ultra-lib is re-elected, our country and culture will turn even more leftist, and conservatism will be pushed into oblivion for good, as more and more people get used to the entitlement culture. Like it or not, the few that do have money will be supporting the masses who do not. And those masses, who will be the majority by that time, will certainly have enough of a voting bloc to keep the socialist culture of entitlement around forever.

Let me help you out here. This is how Romney would “repeal” Obamacare. He would tell us that the main thing wrong with Obamacare is that it was instituted at the Federal level. Then with the help of the reaching across the aisle between dems and RINOs, he would mandate that every state have its own little Obamacare (aka Romneycare) and that anyone who did not pay to get insurance as mandated, would have to pay a “fee” (otherwise known as a large tax).

Businesses would love this as they would no longer have to provide health insurance (a very costly and ever rising business expense), they could just pay the fee. Individuals who are no longer covered by health insurance from their work would have to pay a large portion of their income to either purchase insurance or pay the fee themselves.

He might at first leave the 50 dollar funding of abortions out of the equation but at some point, after much soul searching and meditations on his dearly departed pro choice mom, he would feel compelled to mandate that too.

Most of the rest of Obamacare would remain intact, because he would say that Congress shouldn’t be bothered with wasting any more time on it. Once the dems take over again, at some time in the future, it will be instituted in full force.

Once RINOs get into office, their conservative masks come off.

I’ve seen the zots. But no one on this thread seems zotworthy. I’ve seen no one on this thread campaigning for Romney. All I’ve seen are several people expressing their intentions regarding Nov. 12.

As I’ve said, I intend to vote for the G.O.P. nominee. But I respect others’ right to vote or not vote, as they wish.

Because they don't really support Romney. Almost all see him as the lesser of 2 evils.

IF Romney is the pick I will vote 3rd party or write in as Romney has no solid stands and says whatever he has to to get votes. I also believe the press is pushing him because he's a McCain redux.
