Similar situations, a congressman sent an email and a shirtless picture of himself to a woman on the internet. Haven't looked for all differences from Weiner, but Lee only sent the photo to one woman and Weiner six at last admission.
But the behavior of both was highly inappropriate for a congressman (or any half-mature man): Republican Less resigned immediately (just this past February) and Dim Weiner "accepted responsiblity" and "apologized", but he's NOT resigning. Time to move on, I guess.

Weiner is a democrat. Free ticket to do anything they want and get away with it.

And the “provocative” pictures of Lee were just shirtless pictures.

Some politicians make it through a sex scandal while others do not.
Clinton, Frank, Vitter and Larry Craig made it without quitting.
Chris Lee, Spitzer and that gay Florida congressman with the interns did quit.
Wiener is in a safe Dem district and will be forced to quit.

Lee chose to resign. Maybe he should have hung around a little longer.

Lee was just five women short of being able to keep his seat.
That and he was a Republican.

Chris Lee was pushed out of office by House Speaker John Boehner, so he never even had a chance to engage in Tony Dick’s pathetic press-conference whimpering.

What surprises me is that there are so many straight men in NY. I guess they must be deprived.

The message here is to send provocative pictures of someone else—maybe from classical sculpture.

Dim Weiner "accepted responsiblity" and "apologized", but he's NOT resigning. When a Democrat accepts full responsibility, it goes with out saying... "I accept full responsibility as long as there are no consequences."

Was channel hopping between Wolfeeee Blitzer and Chriseee Matthews this afternoon and most of the conversation with their guests was ... what can Weiner do to survive?
Can you imagine that happening with a Rep? Unbelievable.

Lee got out while the getting was good. There was a lot more that he would have had to face if he had tried to cling to his seat.
Google "Representative Chris Lee Transgender".
That said, Weiner needs to go too.
