More fuel to the fusion fire. When am I able to heat my home for a "nickel" a month?

What "climate problems" is this idiot speaking of?
The record cold recent winters in both hemispheres?
The record amounts of snow around the world?

In the White House.
It doesn’t even cost Obama a dime.

So let me see if I understand this. Rossi puts nickel and hydrogen in a chamber, applies heat, pressure, one or two mystery catalysts and some how overcomes the strong force holding the nickel atom’s nucleus together. This results in the proton from the hydrogen atom entering the nucleus, with a final product of copper plus heat. That heat can, in turn, be used to heat water, resulting in steam, turbines spinning, etc.
Up until now the energy needed to overcome the strong force bond has only been found in two kinds of fusion- hydrogen bombs and stars. So what’s he doing that no one else has figured out?

I'm watching this with interest. I've seen a lot of people who are very quick to say "This is a scam" but so far no one has asked me for money, and I don't really see other people being asked either.
It's possible that this is actual science being done. They could have a working implementation in Greece in the fall of 2011 -- and they can figure out the theory of what makes it work later. Not unusual at all to work that way.

When you have spent three decades supressing a technology this revolutionary, trying to jump on the bandwagon when it breaks free is as likely to be succesful as Anthony Weiner’s twitter denials.
The Universities whose publi credibility is already rocked a tiny bit are about to get, well, not bitchslapped but body slammed.
I suspect this is plan B behind Germany shutting down their existing nuclear power now. Many of their elites are part of the group who desires a lower population, and if the manufactured energy and food crunch causes the populace to rise up then as things get bad there they will roll out Rossi’s technology and try to claim part of the credit.
Just my two nickels worth.

Bushnell went on to say that LENR technology could potentially solve all of our energy and climate problems.B.S. Sounds like something his whacko boss Hansen would say.

Rossi:
1. Hydrogen + Nickel
2. FUSION MAGIC
3. Copper + Energy!
Bushnell: No.
Yet Bushnell's comments are construed as support for Rossi's work?
It appears Rossi and his supporters can catalyze more than Hydrogen & Nickel.

LENR may be real. And even making mistakes is useful for eliminating misleading results.
But can it produce any amount of useful energy? And at what cost? There’s lots of energy in lightening too but Ole Ben never was able to use it.

A Chief NASA scientist, Dennis Bushnell has came out in support of Andrea Rossi's E-Cat technology, but denies any type of nuclear fusion is taking place, saying it is probably beta decay per the Widom Larson Theory.
Does the Widom/Larson Theory postulate occasional production of neutrons, X-rays, and helium?
These guys are so touchy after the hot fusion folks did their "oh, crap, the government's going to end our hot fusion funding gravy train" disinformation campaign shortly after 1989.
