At Least Palin Hasn't Visited 57 States
Spectator.org ^ | 6/4/11 | Aaron Goldstein

I won't make excuses for Sarah Palin where it concerns Paul Revere. She didn't get it right. Not surprisingly, NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams was in full smug when he said, "Listen to the following and you shall hear Palin's version of the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere."

Yet where was Brian Williams when Barack Obama said he had visited 57 states with one left to go during a campaign stop in Beaverton, Oregon in May 2008? You never heard Williams say, "Listen to the following and you shall hear Obama's version of American geography."

we need better coordination and monitor and record every little gaffe, typos, spell errors made by Obama/Biden, because the media will not let any little mistakes even one that was corrected in 5 secs later, slide by

It's good to see that our side is getting some coordinated return fire underway.

Indeed it is. :-)

we need more examples because the media is trying to create a narrative with a constant pattern of gaffes from Palin. If you venture out on the non-palin sites, you often see forum poster calling her idiot queen, stupid, moron, can’t talk for more than one sentence etc. Its all nonsense, but this constant spam and barrage do work on ppl who don’t pay attention

Not only was she right, but she is gathering some good data to shove it up the MSM's collective butts if/when she declares.

I can picture her doing a Gipper on them when they start "mis-stating" info on her, "There you go again - couldn't tell fact from fiction about Paul Revere and haven't learned anything from your deficiencies. Who can trust what you say?"

The resultant petulance and insanity that would follow something like that could finish them off (one can dream...).

Paul Revere’s letter recounting the event.

Regarding “warning the British”.... (MSM is saying ‘no - he warned the Colonialists’ - true but he also warned the British... Palin seems to know the full story.)

“When I got there, out Started Six officers, on Horse back, and orderd me to dismount;—one of them, who appeared to have the command, examined me, where I came from, and what my Name Was? I told him. He asked me if I was an express? I answered in the afirmative. He demanded what time I left Boston? I told him; and aded, that their troops had catched aground in passing the River, and that There would be five hundred Americans there in a short time, for I had alarmed the Country all the way up.”

And understand that this was with a pistol to his head and a threat to blow his brains out.

Screw Goldstien and the Spectator. They are freaking shilling this story just as much as Williams. I would hope that a publication such as that would have at least one editor that knows history.

Hey Sarah, we got your back!

So ... it was Revere who warned the British (of their peril) and it was Prescott - not Revere - who warned the colonists of the approach of the regulars?

If that's correct then even the little that the MSM believe they know is wrong.

“Paul Revere was taken prisoner and during his interrogation deliberately provided greatly inflated numbers of militiamen awaiting the British at Concord.”

Actually, he was drafted by the U.S. Army. And, rather than serve his country he declared himself a conscientious objector and worked in a soup kitchen for a couple of years. Perhaps not a traitor but certainly a coward....

I always think of the "Potatoe" incident with Dan Quayle. The left played this to the hilt. Seriously, how many people here have speald a word incorrectlty at sometime?? All of us?

Fifty-Seven states? I must have missed the anex of Canada.

Dan Quayle was savaged; like him or not.

Quayle made a simple mistake. As for Obama it is unconcinable to not know that we have fifty states.

I think the mass media showed just how cruel and mean spirited they were and stiil are.

No Revere also warned the Colonialists... I said:

“MSM is saying ‘no - he warned the Colonialists’ - **true** but he also warned the British... Palin seems to know the full story”

“Well who was dong the shooting and screaming about the forth amendment.”

There was no ‘fourth amendment’ at that time, so I don’t know who you’re talking about. The British fired shots to stop Revere, et. al. And in the other report there were shots fired. Revere was also a bell maker (as a profession) so he very likely may have had a bell but there is no mention of it - only that there were ringing of the bells in the towns.

And as Palin mentioned - they were ‘after our guns’ - there were armories in both Lexington and Concord, iirc - one of them perhaps - don’t quote... which is why the British were headed that way.
