That's actually a brand new Jimmy Ruffin rip with a lower bit rate but less compression than the one I've posted in the past. You can actually hear the barritone sax playing the dotted eighth notes throughout and the backing vocals and strings are hotter with more seperation. Sometimes a higher bit rate isn't necessarily better. I'm doing my best to upgrade the library for the best audio possible and that track sounds fresh in the Drumbo phones.

Broken Alphabet
~ Tim Story ~

I don't know why I chose this haunting instrumental as a play-out tonight, but the title and the melody intrigues me. Tim Story is an inventive genius that speaks on a deep level without lyrics.

It's been a very quiet Canteen today and this evening, but I see reenforcement has arrived! I'm not used to doing the entire shift alone without Essie at my back. I hope she's well and just enjoying a lovely weekend. I tried to spin a very eclectic mix of tunes this jukebox, hopefully some stuff you've never heard or long forgotten. There was certainly something for everyone to enjoy.
