Everyone has already had a grand old time mocking this video of Sarah Palin bungling her Paul Revere history, but I actually think it amounts to quite an eloquent statement. Its as eloquent an argument as anyone could make that this woman really should not be treated by any of us as anything resembling a presidential candidate until its absolutely necessary which is to say, until she actually runs for president.

Might as well add his preposterous “10,000 people killed” by a Kansas tornado in Greensburg (only off by 9,988): http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,270852,00.html
Greg Sargent, of the Washington Post, was an identified member of JournoList - an email group of approximately 400 "progressive" and socialist journalists, academics and "new media" activists.
JournoList members reportedly coordinated their messages in favor of Barack Obama and the Democrats, and against Sarah Palin and the Republican Party. JournoList was founded in 2007 and was closed down in early 2010
Greg Sargent, WaPo Lies About Palin Endorsements
August 4, 2010
In, Still more proof Sarah Palin is toxic outside her bubble, Sargent cites a Pew poll which says that a Sarah Palin endorsement is a negative for her endorsed candidates
Sargent does not use the word polarizing, his assertion that A recent Gallup poll noted a striking disconnect in public attitudes towards Palin is tantamount.
Sargent cites polls by what he admits is leftist: the Dem firm Public Policy Polling to assert that people dont like her and that she should just go away.
In an earlier version of Toxic, Sargent bemoaned Gov. Palins use of cojones, because women dont have testicles, and according to him, Gov. Palin did not know what the word means.
Let those of us who have EVER made an error on a History Test start picking up those stones and tossing them at ... let’s see ...
The person who makes the BIGGEST Historical Verbal Errors EVER!!!
And WHO would that be?
Here is my very favorite Biden gaffe:

Can you begin to imagine what it would be like if there was a youtube video of Sarah Palin doing anything remotely like this?
Yep. Or these:
“OBAMA: What they’ll say is, “Well it costs too much money,” but you know what? It would cost, about... It — it — it would cost about the same as what we would spend... It... Over the course of 10 years it would cost what it would costs us... (nervous laugh) All right. Okay. We’re going to... It... It would cost us about the same as it would cost for about — hold on one second.”
“OBAMA: Everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma, they end up taking up a hospital bed, it costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early and they got some treatment, and a, a breathalyzer, or inhalator, not a breathalyzer.”

I take exception to those FReepers who favor some other politician for the GOP presidential nomination that express exasperation with those of us who admire and support Sarah Palin as 'worshiping' her and/or making Palin a 'cult'. That is nonsense. She is viciously attacked on a daily basis by the left and if we can't defend and support Palin here, then where? As a Palin supporter I'm convinced that Sarah Palin is the most authentic conservative in the prospective field of GOP presidential candidates and as many of us have noted, the fact that the left hasn't ceased attacking her since 2008 is indicative of the fact that she is the one Republican politician the left actually fear. I don't see Romney being criticized much by the left.
I intend to continue to support Palin until or unless she states that she is not a candidate. I'll still admire her and very likely switch my support to the person she chooses to back unless they are incompatible with conservative values. A situation I cannot imagine being associated with Sarah Palin. Those who wish to call support for Sarah Palin 'worship' are mistaken. She is not 'perfect' no more than Ronald Reagan was 'perfect' - and she is not a female reincarnation of Reagan, either. Sarah Palin is a politically conservative, able, energetic, indomitable, woman with integrity and courage that embodies the American spirit. She is an anomaly in American politics and I believe she could be the next President of the United States.
Greg Sargent is the clown (IDIOT) of the day:
Commentators keep telling us how influential Sarah Palin’s endorsements are, and even if the whole “mama grizzly” meme is clearly overstated, there’s no quibbling with the fact that Palin has pull among GOP primary voters.
But the more interesting point to be made about Palin is how toxic she’s become among the broader electorate. In fact, buried in the internals of the new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll is an amusing number: A majority see a Palin endorsement as a clear negative.

I’m suddenly getting a flood of emails from people who really, really, really like Sarah Palin. Not a good way to end the day.

Poor baby.
I think she SHOULD talk about the 57 states and see what they do, if they pounce on her so much the better ...the “reveal” will be golden
I was thinking she should make a montage video of alll the “important” people saying the most awful, childish, unsubstantiated, vile things about her and her children, and then splash it up on a 40 foot screen in front of large crowds to publicly call out each one of the offenders.
Yep...what you said!
I believe the reason Sarah sounds a bit unrehearsed is because she is REFUSING to use a teleprompter in order to be able to contrast herself with the usurper.
Sarah didn’t fumble this. The great intellectual journalists who think the poem is the history did...including this jerk. SARAH was right.
No, the reason they’re scared is that they’ve been trying to pull a Quayle on her for the last four years, she’s still standing, and driving around in a bus with throngs of people throwing themselves at her feet. They’re trying to keep it quiet, but they know they’re going to have to start covering it soon.
As for whether she’s running... come’on. ;)
That would be so GREAT if she did that! Although two states, Alaska and Hawaii, are -- I presume -- off the bus's itinerary!
She could use this one too, if she goes to Kansas City. There’s a bunch of them she could lampoon!
“Im here with the Girardo family here in St. Louis. speaking via satellite to the Democratic National Convention, while in Kansas City, “
Sarah’s support would be worthless if it were not for the fact that people know she is running for president and is almost guaranteed to win.
What do you mean you’re not sure she can govern? Have a look at this and don’t tell me she can’t govern:
Governor Sarah Palins Accomplishments that garnered her a whopping 92% approval rating:
Energy Independence, Development, and Environmental Stewardship
*Governor Palins cornerstone accomplishment is AGIA (Alaska Gasline Inducement Act). During the Palin administration, TransCanada and Exxon formed an alliance to build a natural gas pipeline from Alaska to the Lower 48. Under Governor Palins governance, the project was expanded and revised from what previous governors had proposed with an open policy process for the Alaskan people. More progress was made on this effort than in the previous 30 years. This is the largest private sector infrastructure project in North American history and helps put us on the path to energy independence.
*Governor Palins administration opened up drilling for oil and natural gas at Pt. Thompson for the first time in decades.
*Governor Palin created the Alaskas Petroleum Integrity Office to oversee all aspects of energy development and to make sure oilfield equipment was safe to operate and a Climate Change Subcabinet to comprehensively and honestly evaluate climate change.
Fiscal Conservatism
*Governor Palin reduced earmark requests for the state of Alaska by 80% during her administration, requesting only earmarks that would benefit the country as a whole.
* Governor Palin reduced spending in her budget for Fiscal Year 2010 by more than one billion dollars from the previous governors Fiscal Year 2007 budget, a 9.5% real reduction in spending. Her FY2010 budget was $10.57 billion compared to Governor Murkowskis FY2007 budget of nearly $11.7 billion. At the same time, she fulfilled her campaign promise to forward fund education, allowing districts greater flexibility and predictability in their planning.
*Governor Palin opposed much of the “stimulus”, wanting only to accept 55% of the money allocated to Alaska, specifically only dollars dedicated to infrastructure [projects. Although the Alaskan legislature ultimately overturned her veto, she stood firm on her commitment to help Alaska to become more self-sufficient while not adding to not add to the skyrocketing national debt.
* Governor Palin invested $5 billion in state savings.
Walking the Walk on Fiscal Responsibility
*Governor Palin sold the private jet purchased by the previous governor. She state it was an unnecessary financial burden on the state and was unable to land on many of the states landing strips.
* To cut costs that would be incurred by continuing to use a personal driver like previous governors, the governor drove herself from Wasilla to her office in Anchorage. She also dismissed the governors personal chef stationed in Juneau, Alaskas capital.
* Governor Palin accepted less state per diem for herself and her family than her predecessors even though she had a larger family.
10th Amendment Advocacy/Promotion of State Constitution
*Showing that she is a strong supporter of the 10th amendment, Governor Palin advocated for the sovereignty of the state of Alaska.
*Governor Palins administration sued the federal government for placing the polar bear on the endangered species list, as this restriction affected energy development which would increase energy costs.
