"The world is getting warmer": Romney

MANCHESTER, New Hampshire (Reuters) - Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney broke with Republican orthodoxy on Friday by saying he believes that humans are responsible, at least to some extent, for climate change.

"I believe the world is getting warmer, and I believe that humans have contributed to that," he told a crowd of about 200 at a town hall meeting in Manchester, New Hampshire.

"It's important for us to reduce our emissions of pollutants and greenhouse gases that may be significant contributors."

Understand, I wasn’t. You probably find it as digestible as I...

Well stated, Gonzo. I've tried to articulate that, but with much less clarity and eloquence.

This’ll all sound very irresponsible when mile high glaciers are crushing our northern cities.

I will never, ever vote for someone who thinks man-made global warming is a reality.

Same here. Someone who wants people to vote them into office and states this belief is dangerous. They are either incredibly stupid, incredibly dishonest, or too mentally lazy to do some homework on the issue before opening their mouth.

pro Romneycare, pro ethanol subsides and now a global warmer. How much more before Mitt implodes or pulls a Gingrich swan dive into an empty political pool.

I’m pleased that Mr. Cain is on the right side of yet another important issue. One more reason to vote for him.

The answer to all of these “positions” is Goldman Sachs managing your campaign. You want money, go with the Golden Slacks who MUST have a carbon credit exchange (which silently closed down in Chicago) for it’s next financial bubble.

Follow the global warming (man caused) to it’s end, and if there is really COOLING we would be in for a very rough ride.

Romney is a complete flop— another Dole. The ethanol subsidy alone is ripping off this country’s resources to a fair the well. All the while the corn lobby loves it- the corporate farmers... not the independents. Ethanol is a very unclean fuel and is destroying small engines as well as auto engine parts. Great job Bob Dole and uh Archer Daniels Midland.

Ehtanol produces 36% less power than gasoline. Only fools and those who profit from expensive corn would foist it upon us, watering down our gasoline, instead of increasing domesting drilling and refining.

I keep hearing of these alleged Romney supports, but have yet to actually encounter one here. I didn’t need this to tell me Mitt is completely unacceptable, but I’m starting to believe “Mittbots” are like “Goldsteinism” in 1984......a mythical enemy used to keep the masses riled up.

Romneybots.......MAKE YOURSELVES KNOWN!

Hank

It has been windier than hell here in northern Arizona for the past three months. I’m pretty sure politicians like Romney are contributing to that!

Did he really say this? Humans are responsible for Global Warming?

Does anyone realize how quickly the world will eat up most signs of human presence if we were to become extinct?

Within one generation, the forests, lakes etc will have recovered our roads, homes landscapes.

We have little to no impact on this planet. If we unleash nuclear waste into the air or water perhaps, but not with the fossel fuels we have.

BUT EVEN SO, IS THIS IDIOT NOW SAYING THAT THE US POLLUTES THE MOST?

IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHOM WE CAN RALLY AROUND AS A VIABLE CANDIDATE?
