More like 90 percent of the Jewish vote will ultimately go to Obama. This is a group that defies belief, on this and other central issues - like firearm ownership. I think the term is “cognitive dissonance.” How on earth could any Jewish person believe that only government should have guns? Their grandparents learned the harshest possible lesson about what happens when regular citizens are disarmed, but they seem incapable of grasping the obvious - much as they are/will be in regard to Obama.

Very few Americans Jewish people are decendants of Shoa survivors or refugees from the same -— Jews generally being refused entry as undesireable immigrants at the time -— a policy supported by Republicans and Democrats of the time.

You should stick with the available facts. There are many Jewish Freepers who are having a very difficult time with both false and selective BS.
This old canard needs to be dealt with. The Jewish people here are very aware of this.
77 Percent of Jews Voted Obama (Exit Polls)
The polls all put Jews at 2% of the poll sample.
In 2004, Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry won 74% of the Jewish vote, and in 2000, Al Gore received 79%.
The MSNBC data found the numbers amongst Christians in Tuesdays election were far closer, with 45 percent of Protestants and other Christians and 54% of Catholics voting for Obama. Together, they made up 81%of the poll sample.
Read the comments carefully. Why would you think more Jews would vote for Obama during the next election, than during the past? How did 2% of the vote determine the election? Does your "selective" predictions include Protestants and Catholics? Look very carefully at the facts and the article.
I may keep bumping this thread until I get a response "Duke".

More like 90 percent of the Jewish vote will ultimately go to Obama. You are painting with too broad of a brush. The Jewish vote for Obama in 2008 was probably about 70% at most. (It was overstated by an exit poll using statistically inaccurate polling techniques, and bounced around the Net as if it were the word of G-d.) Next year, assuming that "Osama" Obama is still on the ballot as the 'Rat, and assuming that the economy is still very weak, look for his percentage among Jews to shrink to the 50s.

From this Jewish perspective, if you are referring to Nazi Germany and the Holocaust, I tend to agree with you there. Israel does have a considerable presence of home gun ownership. Here in the US, where most Jews live in urban and suburban environments, there is a tendency in such a milieu to think that private gun ownership does more harm than good. However, there is an American-based Jewish organization specifically dedicated to the preservation of gun ownership rights.
