If you want to be a leader, you go to the people and you ignore the ruling class. Mr. Gleason, take another look at what Sarah Palin is doing.
Yes, Gov Palin is engaged in a raw power play cloaked in an innocuous appearing bus tour. This should serve as a wake-up call to the elites in the party that they are the ones out of step with mainstream/main street America and change direction.
Sadly the Chardonnay and Cheese crowd in the GOP will probably miss the message.

There’s a dynamic here more powerful than the usual way of doing things. It’s in the polarity between the people and the ruling class. (Not in the false dichotomies fabricated by the ruling class.)
Let’s face it. Palin’s political intuition (and her sense of the basic Constitutional principles) far surpasses that of people like Rob Gleason or the GOP in general.

I left the GOP, Cold. I am thoroughly enjoying being a CONSERVATIVE INDEPENDENT (not the kind that can’t make up his or her mind, but one who WILL vote for the most conservative candidate.)
