Now, here's the irony. Sometimes I myself refer to Palin as "Sarah"!

But here's my point: that's not a healthy habit to get into.

Plenty of people use the first names or nicknames of people that they write about, even though they don't personally know them.

It's a question of the type of item one is writing, whether it's a formal or an informal writing.

Posts are typically informal entries on a blog or social networking site. Informal names such as Mitt, Hillary, Huck, Newt, Fred, The Donald, Rush, Sean, Greta...on and on... and yes even Sarah, are all commonly used in people's posts, especially here on FreeRepublic, where such people are discussed adinfinitum. It's been that way for a long time.

But I guess now that it's "Sarah" people are posting about, it must signify something else. It must be some kind of worshiping thing dontcha know.
