First Time: Temple Mount Priestly Blessing on Jerusalem Day
INN ^ | 6/2/11 | Hillel Fendel

Posted on 06/02/2011 11:17:29 AM PDT by Nachum

Hundreds of religious Jews from all streams were able to happily commemorate the 44th anniversary of the first-ever entry of Israeli soldiers onto the TempleMount.

For the first time in the history of Israeli restrictions on Jewish entry to the Temple Mount, the recitation of the Priestly Blessing was permitted there. It happened on Wednesday, Jerusalem Reunification Day, when hundreds of visitors – all of whom immersed in a mikveh (ritual bath) prior to coming and took other precautions required by Jewish Law – were allowed to enter the Temple Mount in groups of 30-40.

Among them were several Cohanim (descendants of Aharon the Priest). They spread their hands in the customary manner and recited, “May G-d bless and watch over your… May G-d shine His countenance upon and show you grace… May G-d raise His countenance towards you and grant you peace” (Numbers 6, from the portion to be read aloud this week in synagogues throughout the Jewish world).

Rabbi Yisrael Ariel, head of the Temple Institute and one of the paratroopers who helped liberate the Temple Mount in 1967, and who was miraculously saved from death at the tim, recited aloud the blessing, “Barukh – Thou art the source of blessing, G-d, Who performed a miracle for me in this place.” Many visitors and listeners, including policemen, recited "Amen!”

The West Wall, having survived thousands of years, wouldn’t survive the first week of the Palestinian State.

Jerusalem: 4000 Years in 5 Minutes

Very POOR video, IMHO. Five minutes and they couldn't give Jesus five seconds. We are not alone!

Though within Judaism there´s no prospect that Mashiach will be in any way divine.

Jesus did not rule Jerusalem.

Yeah. But he's kinda important. Bar Kochba didn't rule over Jerusalem either but he gets a mention. When the script gets to the Crusades, we get a Jewish death toll, but not a Christian one. I guess the Christians just don't count since they obviously came there to murder Jews, right?

I thought about posting something about this video yesterday when someone else recommended it to me. But I didn't because it embarrasses me. I am not an Island.

I guess we will found out when He returns.

There are some who believe he will be filled with the Shekhinah.

I doubt your assessment. The Palis do not have it in their power to do what the Romans, Mamluks, Crusaders, Ottomans and British all failed to do.

Another step toward the coming of the Mashiach.

And wont you be suprised when it is NOT the man from Nazareth.

Jer16:19 O LORD, my strength and my fortress, My refuge in the day of affliction, The Gentiles shall come to You From the ends of the earth and say, “ Surely our fathers have inherited lies, Worthlessness and unprofitable things.”

Is2:2And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations (הַגּוֹיִם )(goyim) shall flow unto it. 3And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

The nations (goyim) go to Zion to learn the Law. The Law? I thought the Law was a curse according to Paul the roman.

I guess we will have to see as who the Mashiach is.

My money is the Rabbi from Nazareth.

The Law is a curse if one must adhere to all the
Law for every moment of one's life with no exception.

If one can call on an everlasting sacrifice for my sins,
I am freed of the curse of the Law.

With the coming of the New Covenant
the Law is written on our hearts.

The paul the roman you refer to is
in fact Saul the student of Gamaliel the Elder.

Do not take your understanding of the followers of the Mashiach
from the Roman "church".
