Christie, Palin and Perry Steal the Spotlight.

Wanna run for president? Don’t make the mistake of announcing a campaign.

Just look at those poor souls roaming Iowa and New Hampshire in search of Republican voters. They have considerable resumes and, in many cases, a pricey campaign team, but they made the grave error of actually telling people they’re seeking the Republican nomination. On Thursday, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will join their ranks when he makes it official in New Hampshire.

Meanwhile, a former Alaska governor who didn’t complete an entire term and two current governors who have expressed little-to-no interest in the race continue to garner much of the press attention.

News that Chris Christie will attend a July summit on education in the first-in-the-nation caucus state of Iowa — plus the fact that he dined Tuesday night with a group of prominent Republican donors from the Hawkeye state — reignited speculation about the New Jersey governor.

...

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who re-inserted himself in the discussion last week with an off-the-cuff remark, is now telling reporters to wait until the extended legislative session is complete so he can focus on a budget battle with Democrats in the state legislature.

on Friday, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman arrives in New Hampshire Friday for a run through the North Country. But he won’t be alone in seeking Republican support. He begins his tour with a Belknap County GOP Boat Cruise that will also feature a couple more presidential aspirants: former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson and, wait for it, Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R., Mich.).

And, of course, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin continues her bus tour of historic sites along the East Coast.

And don’t forget the Huckster. Huckabee said he was reconsidering his decision not to seek the presidency.

Perry will probably enter. Christie will not, and Huntsman is a non starter.

Now Huck is saying he just might run after all.

Not to mention Trump is threatening an independent run.

holy smokes

If the Huckster giggles when the LSM talks about Sarah Palin’s family. If the LSM thinks him to be a genuine threat, Katy bar the door with that family of his, they will become ridicule central.

I've become convinced that the republican party will continue to refuse to accept reality. They cannot go forward with another "same old-same old" candidate and expect anything other than defeat.

Maybe Trump should go ahead with an independent campaign just to prove that even a buffoon can whip another McCain or Dole (or Bush).

I missed that. When did that happen?

It is being reported on that evil FOX news this morning. LOL

For some reason, I just figured that Huck’s decision might be temporary.

All these people talking about a possible run and very few actually doing it.

The sad part is that Huckabee would come back into the race one of the top 3-4 candidates, at least by media perception. And unfortunately a large part of the 2012 voters are swayed by the media.
