WASHINGTON, DC- Congressman Jeff Landry (R, LA-03) released the following statement after he declined the President's invitation to the White House this morning: "I have respectfully declined the President's invitation to the White House today. I don't intend to spend my morning being lectured to by a President whose failed policies have put our children and grandchildren in a huge burden of debt. Over the past two years, President Obama and congressional Democrats have overseen the largest budget deficits in U.S. history. On top of that, the President's budget adds $1.3 trillion to our national debt every year for the next ten years - a budget that failed to muster a single vote in the Senate. Until the President produces a responsible deficit reduction plan, I'm not going to the White House to negotiate with myself. Our conference has put out for months where we would start the process. The President has done nothing, just like he has for the people of the Gulf Coast. For months, the Louisiana delegation has sent the President numerous requests to meet with him or his chief of staff concerning the de facto moratorium issued in the Gulf of Mexico, a de facto moratorium that has driven gas prices up and now threatens to derail economic recovery; the President hasn't even had the courtesy to write us a note back. I refuse to partake in his political grandstanding that will ultimately do nothing for debt reduction and job creation."
We need to get us Facebook numbers. I looked him up on face book, and he has 14 “Likes”. Lets get those numbers up.
Let’s make sure he gets re-elected.
When he need help and contributions in 2012, here’s his campaign site:

“We need more like this guy!”
Landry, West, Bachman, Palin! Things are looking up!
I didn’t hate Boustany until he became a massive turd.
Before 2010, everyone knew (including Charlie Melancon) that LA was losing a Congressional district. So, they drew up plans amongst themselves to eliminate the district that Landry now holds.
It was all great until Boustany got afraid of Landry. So, he went to LA Democrats and tried to get his new district changed. In the process, he basically would have eliminated Fleming.
He’s a selfish moron who should lose a primary to Landry.
All the more reason to contribute to Landry now. He’ll need money early on for the primary fight. Louisiana must send someone with this level of courage and independence back to Congress to continue working for every American who values our Constitution and our Nation.
A republican said that?
Look out for low flying pigs.
Wow! Apparently Netanyahu’s example has inspired a few folks here.
Yee-haw!
Now if we could only get every elected official with an (R) next to their name to similarly locate and upright their spines....
Come on FR-
bumpin’ the hell out of this thread
yeah, I didn’t realize it was that huge. (that’s what she said)
Not for long. Bobby Jindal has eliminated Rep. Jeff Landry’s district. He is the “odd man out” in 2012 election.
The Louisiana Good Ol' Boys ganging up on a tea party candidate.
Tea Party guy whose congressional district has been eliminated by Bobby Jindal.
Bobby Jindal has eliminated Tea Party candidate Jeff Landry's Congressional District for the 2012 election...
Jeff Landry is the odd man out for the 2012 election.
