US Rep. Anthony Weiner yesterday spent the day on the grill after a lewd photo purporting to be of him was sent to a pretty Seattle coed from his Twitter account -- but the young woman insisted a stalker was the culprit.

Some DC wonks were skeptical of Weiner's hacking story and questioned the lack of a police report about a crime as serious as Internet identity theft, a Washington insider said.
The uncertainty was also fed by Weiner's decision to quickly delete the posted photo -- and every other photo connected to the account.

Got ya . . . I’m so glad that it is one of them . . . and to watch them stumble all over themselves trying to tell us that it “just doesn’t rise of the level of . . .” (a memory from the toon era).
Pressure is certainly ratcheting up on him and it appears you will likely be proven right.
My comment re his enhanced chances was a sarcastic barb about the type of politicians that NY elects and retains in office (Rangle, Clinton, Schumer, Spitzer, etc). The lower their integrity, the higher their electability it seems. But I guess you could say that holds for practically all Democrats. Regards.
