And may God destroy Westboro "Baptist" "Church."
A friend posted this on Facebook:
I think someone in Joplin should post a sign in their front yard saying “Hey Westboro Baptist Church, why don’t you protest in my front yard and we can see if your first amendment is better than my second amendment?!”
Local folks should find out where the Westboro’s are sleeping during their “visit” and NOT LET THEM GET A MINUTE OF SLEEP.
This should happen WHEREVER they go.
See what the westburro crowd is up to now?
Oh Lord, won’t you buy me a Mercedes-Benz,....
Of course, only do this where officers do their job, instead of the union pattycakes, as not a one would lift a finger nor given a care to this happening. In other jurisdictions, odds are they'd shoot the lobber.
I think that it is justice to be just as humane to Westbro ‘protesters’ as harbor seals. Both toss up a horrendous racket, spew deification, and aren't part of the human race.
WRC needs to tread very lightly in and around Joplin, because I do not think the locals are in any mood for a fresh demonstration of these fanatic’s First Amendment rights.
I have it on ‘good faith’ that when they tried to protest a soldier’s funeral here.....they didn’t make it past the county line. I’ll leave it at that. ;-)
God never put a limit to human stupidity, that never meant that we had to try and reach it so badly. In this particular case,I really hope these “protesters” reconsider their lifestyles.
One day calamity is going to befall the WBC.
When it does, I won’t clap. I’ll just turn away, and realize that God works in mysterious and wondrous ways.
God bless Joplin and those who were adversely affected by the May 22nd, tornado. My heart goes out to them, each and every one.
I grew up in Joplin and the surrounding area. I have many fond memories from that town and region. For that reason, I will always jump to the defense of the people of Joplin. A bit of my heart still resides there.
Beyond the connection to Joplin, my heart always goes out to people who are affected by the forces of nature or any calamity that may befall them. Compassion separates us from the rest of the animal kingdom. Evidently there are exceptions though, because the members of the WBC don’t share other human’s gene for compassion.
God, when judgment day comes for the members of the WBC, please know that I fully support what you will be doing on that day.
And in advance, I wish to thank you.
We know how to deal with these A@@h@les in Oklahoma.....
McAlester, Okla. Members of a Kansas church that protests at military funerals may have found themselves in the wrong town over the weekend.
Shortly after finishing their protest at the funeral of Army Sgt. Jason James McCluskey of McAlester, a half-dozen protesters from Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, Kan., headed to their minivan Saturday, only to discover that its front and rear passenger-side tires had been slashed.
To make matters worse, as their minivan slowly hobbled away on two flat tires, with a McAlester police car following behind, the protesters were unable to find anyone in town who would repair their vehicle, according to police.
The minivan finally pulled over several blocks away in a shopping center parking lot, where AAA was called. A flatbed service truck arrived and loaded up the minivan. Assistant Police Chief Darrell Miller said the minivan was taken to a Walmart for repairs.
Even before the protesters discovered their damaged tires, they faced off with a massive crowd of jeering and taunting counterprotesters two blocks from the First Baptist Church, where the soldiers funeral was held.
Miller estimated that crowd to number nearly 1,000 people, and they not only drowned out the Westboro protesters with jeers, but with raucous chants of USA, USA.
A few motorcyclists interspersed among the crowd also revved up their engines to muffle the Kansans protests.
Westboro members picket military funerals across the country, spreading their message that God hates America because it tolerates homosexuality.
On Saturday, more than two dozen law-enforcement officers state troopers, sheriffs deputies and city police formed a security cordon around the Westboro protesters.
Were here to protect everyone, Miller said.
