The folks at The Motor Company have got to be thrilled to see the Palins dressed in their gear today.
Alan Mulally PING!

Sorry, taildragger.
I have been multi-tasking, and also missed what was in the deleted post. :(
I just assumed that it meant that the Palins were wearing some kind of "Ford" logos at this event...
...perhaps as a sign of their support for the only domestic car company that didn't go bankrupt, and didn't take any bailout money.
Since I share your enthusiasm for seeing Ford CEO Mulally somewhere in the Palin administration, perhaps I read too much into Windflier's post.
What exactly was in that (now-deleted) "Ford-related" post, Windflier?

The CX 500 is one of the most underrated bikes of all times. The bottom end was way overbuilt and could have taken a lot
more displacement with no worry. A liter or more displacement would have made it a water cooled Moto Guzzi clone that would have been an absolute pleasure to ride. But that would have made it a competitor to the Gold wing, wouldn't it?

Wow! The Palins all look sensational! Even better than last time around.
I want to see them in the White House!!!
They have that “comfortable with themselves” look that people with REAL class have.

On a CX forum that I frequent there is an owner that has fabricated a dual engined CX for the Bonnevile Speed Week.
Its a sweet engine to work on, the bike itself I have pretty much rebuilt totally. My only gripe is I wish it had one more final gear.

What exactly was in that (now-deleted) "Ford-related" post, Windflier? I don't know what was in post 299. I don't think it was mine.
I mentioned "The Motor Company", which is bikerspeak for the Harley-Davidson motorcycle company. Todd and Sarah were sporting H-D gear today, which had to make the suits at Harley smile.

Ron, “The Motor Company” is what bikers sometimes call the Harley-Davidson motorcycle company. It goes way back.

Well, I’m sick of the fake-biker-culture-gone-mainstream fad; it’s juvenile and Jerry Springerish. What happened to the grown-ups in this country?

Thanks, Windflier.
My mistake. I subconsciously (but INCORRECTLY) added "Ford" to your post.
And, sorry, taildragger.
Perhaps Governor Palin will promote Alan Mulally and Ford at some FUTURE event. :o)
