RealClearScott Scott Conroy Just confirmed: Todd is gonna drive a motorcycle himself & Sarah is gonna ride on one. Everybody freak out! 26 minutes ago
Have you ever driven an 800 pound Harley-Davidson UltraGlide? I used to own one, and I can tell you for a fact that no teenage girl is going to pilot a beast like that. Especially with a passenger onboard.
It takes years and years of practice for anyone as small as that woman to learn to confidently handle such a machine.
Looks like Willow. If it’s not, I’m blaming Fox. The size of the bike has nothing to do with it. My youngest daughter, who’s not quiet 5’ is riding a borrowed Road King as we speak. She’s on her way to Knoxville, TN from Dallas, TX.
Sure, but how old is your daughter, and how long has she been riding?
Willow is a high school kid whose family isn't into motorcycles. She would have had to have been riding for a whole lot of years by now, to have the coordination and skill to pilot Harley's biggest motorcycle.
I've seen a few experienced women riders driving Ultras, but never a teenager.
Another post upthread says that the woman motorcyclist is a family friend named Andrea. That answer makes a lot more sense than their teenage kid, if you ask me.
1, there is no such animal as an Ultraglide. It’s an Electra Glide Ultra Classic.
The question to me should have been: How many, have I ridden? The answer is: I have no idea, but a lot. I grew up a biker, the son of a biker. I’ve been literally surrounded by motorcycles since I can remember.
The most difficult Harley to handle is the Sportster, bar none. The high center of gravity and heavy torque to weight ratio makes it a beast compared to the rest. Note that my daughter is en route to TN on a Road King, which is the same frame, same engine, with different accessories. She’s 17, and 4’11” tall.
Oh, stop. I'm a former owner, and I'll call it what I like.
The question to me should have been: How many, have I ridden? The answer is: I have no idea, but a lot.
Why would I care how many bikes you've ridden, or for how long? We're debating over whether the woman piloting that Ultra is Willow Palin or not.
If you want to take Politico's word that it's the Palin's teenaged daughter, be my guest, but as a former owner of an Ultra, I'm telling you that report is baloney.
WTF? You ask me, "Have you ever driven [sic]an 800 pound Harley-Davidson UltraGlide [sic]?" and then you get snarky when I give you an honest answer? Hey, you asked the question, so don't be surprised that you got an answer.
It was a leading question, posed to elicit a reasoned response from you about the discussion we're having.
Being a lifelong rider, I think you know that a teenaged girl is highly unlikely to have the skill, confidence, or coordination to pilot that Ultra. That's the only point I'm making.
Willow wasn’t even there.
Nice pic!
Hoo Yah!
Wow! The Palins all look sensational! Even better than last time around.
I want to see them in the White House!!!
She does kinda look like she was made for the job, eh?
OMG ROTFLMPO!
Well, Moochelle is gonna need work in 20 months! Mooch, you-re hired! LOL Bob
Col. West: "Madam President, how are you?"
Let’s all help Sarah be able to see the
washington Monument from her new house!
Agreed!
Woah. Thanks for the post. This is the picture the occupation WH fears the most.
