Videographer provocateur Joey Boots was detained, harassed and eventually ticketed for taking pictures of armed soldiers inside Penn Station in New York City Wednesday.
Boots, who regularly posts entertaining and sometimes confrontational videos of New York City life, including the video of the teenage ballerina in Times Square last year, was cited for interfering with traffic.

Does anyone in N.Y. know why we have armed military in the subways and is this normal?
Thanks.
Were they UN soldiers ?
To be honest, I haven’t been able to watch the video yet.
My Internet connection keeps falling off.
I only thought American soldier because I could never imagine any other!?
Practice for when they give a lucrative contract to SEIU and TSA to start groping kids boarding subways?
These cops were tools. It’s perfectly legal. I swear, any mental midget can be a cop. Joey rocks.
When I was going to school in New York from 05 to 09 I always saw National Guardsmen in field gear in the stations.
Really?
Armed?
With rifles?
Yep.
National Guard, as far as I know. This is all part of post-9/11 security.
Around NYC and probably every major structure in the nation, photography and video is possible intelligence gathering by islamic cells.
It’s one thing for tourists to buy a ticket to the Statue of Liberty and take pictures, but taking pictures of security details inside the subway is not tourism.
I don’t know, but I can only assume LE tries to have policies and procedures to thwart new attackes.
NYC ports, as well as Penn Station, Grand Central Terminal (the main train stations) and Port Authority (the main bus station) have armed NY state national guard (not US Army regulars) in these very high traffic areas.
Thanks
I had no idea about any of this.

I guess if he'd been brandishing a salt shaker, they would've tazered him and gone to his house to shoot his dog.
Why is being a cop an acceptable excuse for being ignorant of the law?
I remember for a few years after 9/11, the military was all over Penn Station, armed and everything.
The last couple of times I was there (pretty recent) I didn’t see any.
In my newly adopted state, I’m discovering that everyone is armed to the rooftop. I thought I owned some firepower. Silly me. The average good ‘ol boys down here are better armed than your run-of-mill infantrymen.
I got some catching up to do.
Absolutely no need here for soldiers.
That and the ass is talking like he’s guarding a war zone suggesting the camera could be a weapon? We are sunk, America. We are now prisioners and enemy combatants of the elite’s war on terror.
