Good for Jindal and the state legislature. We need more states to monitor the facilities to assure at least health and safety of the mother even if we can’t prevent the murder of the unborn.

That seems like an odd process: “Half of those who enter your clinic alive are supposed to leave in the dumpster. Despite that, you don’t meet our safety standards.” I’m not sure how regulators distinguish acceptable from unacceptable performance in an abortion mill.

The abortion lobby has for years successfully kept state governments from regulating their clinics by taking them to court, using the ‘right to choose’ argument. That dog won’t hunt anymore, and states are now beginning to assert their rights to oversee abortion clinics as the medical facilities they are.
