By all counts, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu received more than two dozen standing ovations during his address to a joint session of Congress. When he entered the House chamber, the first standing ovation lasted more than two minutes.
So what accounts for this super-warm reception for the Israeli leader by lawmakers of both parties?
Could it be that they genuinely believe that Israel shares America's deepest social and political values? That Israel is the only true, functioning democracy in the Middle East? That Arabs enjoy greater rights in Israel than in any Arab nation? That their ovations reflected the views of U.S. voters, who consistently tell pollsters -- by margins exceeding 70 percent -- that they want the U.S. to support and side with the Jewish state? Or that, in their hearty welcome and applause for Netanyahu, they simply echoed the feelings of constituents in their own districts or states?
Any or all of these reasons for the thunderous ovations in the House chamber sound fairly plausible. But that's not how the New York Times accounted for the Netanyahu-Congress love-fest? Not even close.

"The New York Times" further buried news of the holocaust during world war II on its innerpages. Also, the hard fought battle at Deir Yassin during Israel's founding was painted as a wanton massacre by the Jews, but the real massacre of Jews at Gush Etzion around the same time was not even mentioned.
Now with the incompetent and fanatically partisan "pinch" Sulzburger in charge, the NYT is even worse than it was under "Punch" Sulzburger (if such a thing can be even possible).
In oratory, Bibi out “Obama’ed” Obama. Bibi also bests him on intelligence, personal courage, honor and patriotism. The GOP desperately needs a ‘Bibi’.
Creeping? (Try outright, overt hatred of)
Perhaps it was Congress’s apology for the outrageous behavior of the man in the oval office the day or two before. Today, no doubt noting Congress’s warm welcome to Prime Minister Netanyahu, Obama gave a speech in England allegedly flip flopping somewhat on his previous anti-Israel stance. I hope someone might provide us with a video of that speech.
I could never understand why people hate the Jews, to me it seemed like hating your next door neighbor who has a nicer lawn, because he has a nicer lawn. So then you insanely suspect that he sneaks into the Garden Supply store at night and steals fertilizer because he obviously isn’t more competent that you yourself are.
But the reality of the matter is that the next door neighbor has his stuff together and instead of watching TV on the weekend all of the time takes time to tend to his lawn through hard work and determination.
The whole commandment about “Coveting other people’s things and circumstances”, is a commandment ignored by those who hate the Jews. It is the “Envy of the Tribe” thing that I remember someone posting in FR a long time ago.
“The GOP desperately needs a Bibi.”
The GOP could beat Obama with someone half as good as Bibi. Unfortunately, that person hasn’t surfaced yet. Pray that he or she does, because 4 more years of Obama, and America will be a broken down shadow of her former self.
Creeping???????
NYT notoriously anti semitic for decades.
What’s really strange is that Adolph Ochs, the founder of The Times, was a conservative.
“Creeping anti-Semitism in the New York Times”
Creeping?
Ooozing.
I think Reuters was founded by a Jew, but look at the crap they write out of the Middle East now.
There’s a creeping creepiness too.
I humbly accept and agree with your improvement.
I think the Ochs story is quite interesting.
“The “New York Times” has always been lacking when it comes to their fellow Jews.”
Pinch Sulzberger (despite his name and distant Jewish ancestry) is not Jewish; he’s Episcopalian.
The GOP desperately needs a Bibi.
If only!!
Bibi would slice, dice, chop, and puree the Obama-butt during a debate. Heck, the Obama thing would loose even if he had his brain (e.g. a teleprompter) plugged in.
