So

(3)Pakistan hopes that the more it flirts with China, the more the U.S. will concede and ease up on it. The U.S. should not only NOT ease up on Pakistan, no matter what agreements it makes with China, it should intensify it's demands on Pakistan. Pakistan can only increase its tensions with India by playing its China-card with the U.S.
