I’d support this law with a couple amendments:
1. The kids have to turn into ICE any illegal parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc, and any siblings who were over the age of 18 when they illegally immigrated. If it is discovered that they omitted names they’d reasonably know about, or, intentionally harbored anyone illegal, family or not, they are immediately deported.
2. They have to serve 2 years in the military, and, when done, they will get US citizenship, BUT:
-they must go to the embassy or consulate of their native country and renounce citizenship (no dual citizen crap)
3. They must sign an oath that says that if they are convicted of ANY felony ANY TIME in their life, that their US citizenship is revoked and they’re immediately deported, no questions asked and at risk of being a “stateless person” since they will have renounced their original citizenship as well.
4. They must be able to prove that when they came here, they were too young to have any say in it.
If you can do all that, you get in-state tuition.
You get more of what you subsidize.
We are so screwed.
