This past Saturday 21 May, 2011, Rummyfan Jr graduated West Point and took the Oath of Office, being sworn in as a brand new second lieutenant. Congratulations to him and all the members if the USMA Class of 2011!

As to the ADM Mullen ...he is there because he was the most “politically correct” person of the right rank to be elevated to CNO - and then Chairman, JCS. IMHO - his willing embrace of the repeal of Don’t Ask/Don’t Tell suggests that his skills are less in doing what is best for the country, but what is best for his own sorry a$$. The previous Chairman JCS was a far better person - and less politically correct!

I have to say that the protests and controversy that accompanied Barry's Commencement Address have had a beneficial effect - the pro-life movement on campus has a new intensity and focus that was missing before.
