Palin Film To Premiere In Iowa In June
Business Insider ^ | May 24, 2011, | John Ellis

Stephen Bannon, a conservative film-maker, has almost finished his two-hour documentary on Sarah Palin's tenure as governor of Alaska. The movie will open in Iowa in June.

Mr. Bannon aired a "rough cut" of the movie for Mrs. Palin and her husband over the weekend in Arizona. They were reportedly very pleased with the (almost) final product.

Real Clear Politics has the details on this somewhat startling development in the 2012 GOP presidential campaign. Most veteran GOP pols had sort of decided amongst themselves that Mrs. Palin would not be a factor in the 2012 campaign...

News that this movie is (as they say) "in the can" and will premiere in Iowa has sent these veteran GOP pols scrambling to their "emailers." They want to know what the movie means.

If she does decide to run, “The Undefeated” will be the key element to her initial coming-out party. The film’s impending release — and the frenzied media attention that it is sure to generate — will serve as a vivid wake-up call that despite the many obstacles in front of her, Palin’s entry into the race would turn the campaign on its head in an instant, just as it did in 2008.

As she mulls her decision in the coming weeks, the other Republican candidates in the field will be left to prepare for a hibernating grizzly who appears poised to rise up once again.

“Most veteran ESTABLISHMENT GOP pols had sort of PRAYED amongst themselves that Mrs. Palin would not be a factor in the 2012 campaign.”

That’s better.

Sarah Palin promised an unconventional campaign. Her opponents will find out what that means, and I don't think they'll like it.

Call me skeptical, but I don’t trust the film-maker as he is a product of Goldman Sachs. We need to rid ourselves of those roaches. I hope in this case it turns out to be just a coincidence.

She is RUNNING, state volunteers are sharpening their sabres.
Nobama’s smoke-n-screening and keeps piling up disaster after disaster.

I’m praying she won’t enter too.

1. She’ll split conservative votes from the REAL winner in this race, Herman Cain.

2. Polls suggest Obama would beat her like a dog.

Now, if this movie is a “trial balloon” then maybe it’s a good idea...but I have my doubts she can win.

Flame suit on.

Sarah would benefit her country far more to just endorse Herman Cain.

Stephen K. Bannon is one of the "good guys" -- whose conservative films include THIS masterpiece:

If youre talking about her opponents in the Democrat Party, I would disagree. They like her only talking to her partisan backers.

Herman Cain, while I like him, has never won anything concerning political office in his life.

2. Polls suggest Obama would beat her like a dog.

Kind of reminds me of polls like this one:
In a December 1978 Gallup poll, Carter beat Reagan 57%-35%

Thanks for your concern, but Obama is very beatable. He’s a jughead, not a juggernaut with a horrible economy, $4 gas, unpopular Obamacare program, and he’s bleeding out independents and the white vote. We could run Elmer Fudd against this jackal in 2012 and I bet you Elmer Fudd would win.

I certainly won’t flame you for your opinion about a conservative candidate, just because I prefer a different one.

Now why is Cain superior to Palin? The presidency is not an entry level position; Cain has never been a governor, and Palin has. Compare his political experience to hers.

That’s just one consideration, there are plenty more.

Cain’s got good conservative opinions, but who here hasn’t? Doesn’t translate into presidential material, necessarily.

Having Palin’s name recognition and STILL being 20 pts down vs. Obama is BAD news.

Reagan came back from behind, yes, but this isn’t 1980 and the country has a far higher number of people (minorities and welfare bums) who will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS pull the lever for a “D” than we did in 1980.

Cain, as an unknown quantity, can “make a name” for himself, without pre-existing negatives.

Palin is NOT that good a speaker really, either. WE like her because we like her message, but it won’t resonate with mushy swing voters, her voice is kind of annoying really, and that matters.

Cain’s charismatic delivery and Reaganesque way of explaining things will sell better, IMHO.

Yeah? Then why does BO still have ~50% approval and why does he beat just about EVERY GOP challenger (just not as badly as Palin) with the possible exception of non-candidate Chris Christie?

When Herman Cain holds office or a governship, draws out thousands to see him speak, writes two NY Times bestsellers, rags on Obama relentlessly, has 3 million Facebook followers, and scares the utter crap out of liberals THEN Sarah should do everyone a favor and endorse him.
