1 JUNEAU, Alaska A former member of Sarah Palin's inner circle has written a scathing tell-all, saying Palin was ready to quit as governor months before she actually resigned and was eager to leave office when more lucrative opportunities came around.
2 "In 2009 I had the sense if she made it to the White House and I had stayed silent, I could never forgive myself," Frank Bailey told The Associated Press.
3 Palin's attorney did not respond to multiple requests for comment for this story. \
4 "Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin: A Memoir of Our Tumultuous Years" is due out Tuesday and based on tens of thousands of emails that Bailey said he kept during his time with Palin. It began with working on her 2006 gubernatorial campaign and continued through her failed run for vice president;.......

Let me guess: You were young, and needed the money...

Bachmann will get the Palin treatment soon enough. Those 23 kids she fostered are a big liability. Don’t think the DNC won’t find at least 1 who will suddenly recall child abuse, sexual abuse, christian rituals, you name it. Shoot, they don’t even have to name one as anonymous will do for the smear. Count on it.
I once thought I’d like to be an actor.
Then, I decided I liked eating, and not starving....
"Fear" is a funny word in this context. And "they" is hopelessly vague.
Do "they" (Obama's handlers) fear Sarah Palin as a potential opponent for Obama? No -- they're drooling for that. If Obama is going to get re-elected, they need an opponent like Sarah Palin, about whom they can make endless unflattering strawmen.
Do "they" (the media) fear Sarah Palin as a potential opponent for Obama? No -- not only are they complicit in supporting Obama, they live for the opportunity to destroy people, and where Sarah Palin is concerned they've been working on it already.
Do "they" (people like me) fear Sarah Palin as a Republican candidate? Yes -- the country literally cannot afford for the GOP candidate to be destroyed Goldwater-style, and that's what would happen if she were the nominee.
Do "they" (the political middle) fear Sarah Palin as a GOP candidate? Yes -- because they've been convinced that she's a nitwit and a harridan, and they don't want one of those as president. (It doesn't matter if she actually is those things: she's already been tarred with that brush).
There are plenty of other "theys" and plenty of other "fears."
______________________________
There is quite a difference between leaving an elected office because one was elected to a higher office or appointed tp a more important position in public service and quitting to write a book and get a TV show...but you already knew that, didn't you? Well, even if you didn't, the voters will.
What a sorry pantload of bullsh*t you are peddling!
Did you even read or listen to Palin's resignation speech? If not, you need to do so.
She made it crystal clear that the reason she was resigning is that she had capable people in place (including her Lieutenant Governor) who could better implement her agenda than she could by spending the state's resources and her own family's money on defending against the endless and vexatious bullsh*t ethics charges which were being thrown around by her enemies. She successfully defended charge after charge after charge. None of them had any merit and, still, her enemies kept throwing them at her.
Would the people of Alaska been better served by having her cling to an extra couple of years in office when she had capable people in place to implement the agenda she was elected on? They have, in fact, done a capable job of doing exactly that.
Sarah had no gig with Fox News or TLC in hand when she resigned. She did so because it was the right thing to do. Yeah, the presstitutes can and will spin it as they drove her from office. But the facts on the ground show that she thought the office and the interests of the people of Alaska were bigger than her. And, as it turned out, she had a far bigger role to play on the national scene.
OK, now I read the full article.
Here are the key points I got from it:
Sarah was bad at keeping appointments.
Bailey got caught up in the State Trooper Scandal because “Todd told him to.”
Sarah went through an emotional let down after the campaign.
Sarah is ambitious.
Again, for many of you on the Sarah threads you know I am not a fan. But this stuff is laughable.
Bailey pretty much says he was a “butt boy” for Sarah’s campaign. Gee—a political hanger on does things that are distasteful on behalf of the campaign? What an insight that is.
Sarah is tough to schedule. While this might seem petty, it would be problematic on a national level, but I would think she would be a bit more focused there. But anyone that knows recent history has read about “Clinton Time” at the White house. In addition, has an Obama presser ever started on time? Nope. Not a big deal.
Sarah is ambitious. Really? I don’t think there has been an unambitious person considered for the Presidency since 1792.
I wish these authors would address real issues. There are so many places where someone close the a candidate could shine some light on things people NEED to know, rather than tell us that Sarah was bummed out after losing a national campaign.
Really....Mr. Mountain, meet Mr molehill.
How did you feel about Ronald Reagan?
Wouldn’t have been a lot better if Sarah had actually called it Bullshit? At least folks would have remembered that.
Money talks.
How did you feel about Ronald Reagan?
“I am still concerned that the big issue ... is her resigning from her office as Governor.”
The only way that is a big issue or an issue of any kind IMO is if it is viewed as what I call a “bumper sticker” sound-bite item.
Did or did not BHO resign his Senate seat to run for pres?
At the time, she was buried under 15-16 frivolous lawsuits, ALL of which have since been thrown out of court, but which 100% guaranteed she (eg; her family) would be facing bankruptcy from legal bills. Her ability to govern was trashed by the time demands of having to defend against those suits. This isn’t rumor, this isn’t spin, those lawsuits are a matter of factual record. The invoices from the law firms are real; lawyers don’t work for free.
That she then took the opportunity to write her book and appear on TV and to profit therefrom is what, different than anyone else would do? Would it be better if this was Soviet Russia and she decided to have dancing bear in public parks and beg for rubles? She took lemons and made lemonade. Don’t like it? Don’t buy her book. It is a story of American ingenuity and American opportunity seized. If it is not wrong for BHO to take advantage of 11 instances of affirmative action, then how is it wrong for SP to take advantage of the freedoms including economic freedoms available in the America we cherish?
Don’t allow yourself to be spun, my FRiend. She took advantage of the opportunities that exist in the US and nobody had to buy her book nor watch her TV show if they were such crimes against humanity.
Who would waste time and money reading this tripe?Your average liberal will love it.
Understood, but still funny.
Wow, it took 6 posts before someone called you a troll

I was said to be on crack when I said something similar
Herman Cain all the way!
Romney would burn half the country down if he thought it would get him the presidency of the remaining half. His people are working furiously to end Palin’s threat to his upcoming run no doubt. Truth means so little to Mittiac Romney
That’s a Feline version of Groucho Marx! lol!
A law broken? With 10,000 investigative reporters assigned to dig up dirt on Gov. Palin, no one else ever caught this? Extremely doubtful.
Public Perception? A more accurate description would be "Media Perception' in order to shape Public Perception. This is going to be the main issue in 2012, regardless of whomever the Republican nominee is.
This Team Obama Owned Media is now SO POWERFUL, they control our election process. The only way a candidate defeats Obama in 2012 is to run against and successfully defeat HIS MEDIA. Whom do you see as best equipped to accomplish this?
