1 JUNEAU, Alaska A former member of Sarah Palin's inner circle has written a scathing tell-all, saying Palin was ready to quit as governor months before she actually resigned and was eager to leave office when more lucrative opportunities came around.
2 "In 2009 I had the sense if she made it to the White House and I had stayed silent, I could never forgive myself," Frank Bailey told The Associated Press.
3 Palin's attorney did not respond to multiple requests for comment for this story. \
4 "Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin: A Memoir of Our Tumultuous Years" is due out Tuesday and based on tens of thousands of emails that Bailey said he kept during his time with Palin. It began with working on her 2006 gubernatorial campaign and continued through her failed run for vice president;.......

“The problem is.....?”
She was practicing for the Presidency even way back then!
You watch, these same nincompoops will be back later spouting the same stuff that has been discussed and explained and explained very well.
“There are plenty of other “theys” and plenty of other “fears.”
I agree..... we should get rid of all those that the MSM smears and run the candidate that they select for us! /s
“....and quitting to write a book and get a TV show...but you already knew that, didn’t you?....”
No I didn’t. Probably since it isn’t true in the context that you attempt to couch it.
As most here know, Sarah resigned the Alaska Governorship to avoid the continuing and bankrupting legal harrassment, and start the 4 year long journey to the White House.
That journey requires her introducing herself to the public sans the liberal media’s filter/editing. Book Royalties/speaking fee’s/etc. are helping her pay for her legal fees, and provide the funds for her “camaigning.” while supporting her family.
The Liberals/Dems are too smart by half. After seeing the enthusiam she generated as a national candidate, attendant with large pumped up crowds, and recognizing her star power as a future Presidential candidate, their best course of action would have been to leave her alone to rot in backwater Alaska, and be forgotten in a few months/years.
Instead they harrassed her out of Local Office (no Dem ever gives up power willingly, so they didn’t envision her quitting. They expected her to stay in place and be destroyed under an avalance of thrown mud) only to see their real fears unleashed.....Sarah on a 24/7/365 national scene......(the Dems/MSM are in the ignore mode after failing in everything else to destroy her.)
The unbridled/continuing attacks have none the less kept Palin in the forefront, posed to strike on her terms, and in her time.
Will the Palin strategy work as well as the Dems stategy has failed?
We’ll find out between now and Nov 2012. Patience grasshopper. I suspect we are seeing a masterpiece political campaign about to unfold. Time as always will tell the tale. Wait and watch.
“I was said to be on crack when I said something similar
Herman Cain all the way!”
Your time is better spent touting your candidate than tearing down other (potential) candidates.
Remember Reagan’s “11 Commandment”....... to ignore his advice is to invite well deserved charges of being a “troll.”
Thanks for the advice
Are you really that stupid?
She QUIT (the ONLY governor ever to quit who was NOT under indictment) because the libtards were filing so many lawsuits she could not get any work done, and it was bankrupting her personaly and preventing her from getting Alaska’s business done.
She quit for all the right reasons.
Is he sure she was ‘strolling’ and not ‘strutting’??
that would be so much worse~!!!
You'd prefer the more accurate but less polite, "drooling sycophants," perhaps?
AS I said - I understand why she resigned. But again (I feel like a broken record...ugh) - it doesn’t really matter what ANY of us mostly “like-minded” Conservative-types think or know - the MSM and the Left WILL manipulate, misuse, and misrepresent the story - and countless sheep will just fall in line.
John Hinderaker at Powerline has a post up about the book:

Sounds like it’s pretty weak tea. The author’s complaints about Palin are trivial.

I guess you did not like the Reagan history lesson.
If he had beaten Nixon and then the Democrat, he would have QUIT with less than two years served in the California Governor's office. You just do not get it or you are in deep denial You would have made excuses for this dumping his office even though you think that Sarah deserves to be driven into bankruptcy. Nutz!
“Thanks for the advice”
Not me, thank Reagan..............one smart guy!
You must really be getting frustrated that your attacks on Palin are gaining zero traction: so now you are resorting to demonstrably false ad hominem on her supporters.
Tell Cass Sunstein his little ploy FAILED.
Cheers!
I would like to publicly apologize for calling you stupid-
You were implying what THE MEDIA was going to say- not your thoughts.
It is good that we know what the media will do - we just need to conteract it.
She quit FOR THE GOOD OF ALASKA because of what Democraps were doing, not because she couldnt take it.
she did everything she wanted to do, and then left office.
wtc911 is a charter member of the PDS brigade here at FR. He’s been spouting the lib “Sarah quit” talking point for well over a year now, and has been educated repeatedly. Don’t waste your time with him.
If I knew Cass and was in on some little plot ... I'd tell him he got a direct hit.
As it is, though, I'm just a guy who can spot sycophants when he sees them.
A very few like Pawlenty, Bachman is popular and some like Herman Cain. Most seem to be waiting for someone who hasn’t shown up yet...maybe Cain fits that bill, I haven’t been to a meeting in 2 weeks. As for me, I like Herman Cain.
If he had beaten Nixon and then the Democrat, he would have QUIT with less than two years served in the California Governor's office.
In 1976 he was running against Ford, not Nixon. There's YOUR history lesson.
Let me see if I got this right. Palin quit her elected office so that she could write books and do Reality TV...Such noble causes! And Ronald Reagan didn't quit so Palin = Reagan.
Palin quit for personal gain. Ronald Reagan would have had to quit if he had beaten Jerry Ford for the nomination and had then gone on to beat Jimmy Carter to serve as President of the US. Palin=Reagan. Yeah right.
I asked you not to reply to me anymore because you're one of the stupidest people I've encountered on FR...hell, anywhere on the internet! As far as I'm concerned this converation is over...I'd rather argue with a tree stump.
