That explains the three “stoners” walking around and quote: “We just came down to see what was going on” to the Storm Chaser reporter. What pond scum those guys were.

Tornadic winds screaming through the hospital floors would most likely be ramped up to higher speeds due to a Venturi like effect. I wonder just how severe the damage inside the hospital building is because of this concentration of already high wind speeds? What I’ve seen of ground pictures/video so far on TWC looks like a high EF 4, EF5 tornado.

Those pictures are devastating.

An update on my niece:
It will take time, but we expect her to make a complete recovery. She came through today’s surgery very well. There will be some minor surgery again in a couple of days.
Her story is like many I have heard. She had taken shelter at a co-worker’s home when the tornado hit. She remembers being airborne {her exact words were, “flying around inside the tornado”} and she remembered praying someone would find her underneath all the wreckage.
Her husband was not allowed into the neighborhood since the block had already been marked “checked”. He knew his wife was still there and he was able to alert friends who lived nearby. As they were rechecking the place, they noticed a foot sticking out from under a tree. These friends quickly acquired chain saws and cut the tree and other debris away from my niece.
By now, her husband had made his way in. God provided a closet door and a golf cart to carry her through two miles of more wreckage to Freeman hospital.
I would like to thank each of you for your prayers. “Wherever two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them.”
May God richly reward you for your thoughtfulness !
