Former White House lawyer, David B. Rivkin, Jr. is having quite a run. On the heels of his national success planning and leading the lawsuit by 26 plaintiff states challenging the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, Rivkin is being honored as one of the best law firm writers in America.
The prestigious 2011 Burton Award for Legal Achievement has been awarded to Rivkin for his Washington Post article, Why the Dont Ask, Dont Tell Policy is Doomed, which ran in the Feb. 13, 2010 edition.
The article, written by Rivkin and his Baker Hostetler law colleague Lee A. Casey, explained in detail why Congress could no longer mandate discrimination in the armed forces based on sexual orientation, especially when senior leadership in the military did not see a significant threat to unit cohesion.
The award ceremony will be held at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. on June 13, 2011 at Coolidge Auditorium and Great Hall with guest speaker Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

Obamacare and predicting queers would get into the military is what this dude is being celebrated for. Sorry, but I’m going to withhold congratulating him until my next life or perhaps the one after that.
It says he led the lawsuit AGAINST Obamacare....
I can read. Tell me that Obamacare has been stopped dead in its tracks and I’ll start cheering. I see a bunch of Republicans quietly slinking around trying to convince the voters that they are doing something when in fact nothing is being accomplished.
Glad to hear you can read.
Let’s wait till the suit makes its way through the courts before we start blaming one of the few guys who are trying to do something.
He’s getting paid to make it appear as if he’s doing something substantial when he’s walking around with one eye closed and one hand in his pocket. As of yet there hasn’t been any requests for the Court to completely stop the implementation of ObamaCare. That would bring the advancement of this socialist program to a complete halt. No, that’s too large of a request for the f’n RINO’s to make. It would make the Dims look foolish and we can’t have that, can we.
Sorry FRiend but I am not the least impressed with the current progress. Eviscerate ObamaCare and I’ll cheer them on.
Good enough.
Thanks for explaining. If that’s what he’s really doing, I can’t disagree with what you’ve said. I guess I didn’t realize that was what was happening.
