Congressman Allen West Response to President Barack Obama's Call for a Two State Solution in Israel -May 19
"Today's endorsement by President Barack Obama of the creation of a Hamas-led Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders, signals the most egregious foreign policy decision his administration has made to date, and could be the beginning of the end as we know it for the Jewish state.
From the moment the modern day state of Israel declared statehood in 1948, to the end of the 1967 Six Day War, Jews were forbidden access to their holiest site, the Western Wall in Jerusalem's Old City, controlled by Jordan's Arab army.
The pre-1967 borders endorsed by President Obama would deny millions of the world's Jews access to their holiest site and force Israel to return the strategically important Golan Heights to Syria, a known state-sponsor of terrorism.
Resorting to the pre-1967 borders would mean a full withdrawal by the Israelis from the West Bank and the Jewish neighborhoods of East Jerusalem. Make no mistake, there has always been a Nation of Israel and Jerusalem has been and must always be recognized as its rightful capital.
In short, the Hamas-run Palestinian state envisioned by President Obama would be devastating to Israel and the world's 13.3 million Jews. It would be a Pavlovian style reward to a declared Islamic terrorist organization, and an unacceptable policy initiative.
America should never negotiate with the Palestinian Authority- which has aligned itself with Hamas. Palestine is a region, not a people or a modern state. Based upon Roman Emperor Hadrian's declaration in 73 AD, the original Palestinian people are the Jewish people.
It's time for the American people to stand by our strongest ally, the Jewish State of Israel, and reject this foreign policy blunder of epic proportions.
While the winds of democracy may blow strong in the Middle East, history has demonstrated that gaps in leadership can lead to despotic regimes. I have questions for President Obama: 'Who will now lead in Egypt?' and 'Why should American taxpayers provide foreign aid to a nation where the next chapter in their history may be the emergence of another radical Islamic state?'
President Obama has not stood for Israel or the Jewish people and has made it clear where the United States will stand when Palestine attempts to gain recognition of statehood by the United Nations. The President should focus on the real obstacle to security- the Palestinian leadership and its ultimate goal to eliminate Israel and the Jewish people."
Looks like some may be waking up but still sipping koolaid. I’ll believe it when I see it.
I’ve been surprised and befuddled that Sarah hasn’t declared. I am beginning to fear she doesn’t have the stomach for the office. I don’t fault her, if that is her conclusion, although it makes me sad to think about. We will see. This hurtle Obama has thrown in the mix today is the Paul Revere moment for true Americans. I’m waiting to see what the next few days bring. Pray! We all must!

We need to express our outrage to Sen. Rubio and Nelson's offices, and not let up... they've been getting a lot of calls, but need to get more if we are truly so outraged about this as we are. This cannot stand.

I think you’re right. I suspect my Jewish cousins don’t. All they’re interested in is how many times they can get their name in the paper and bring in the big client$.
This Christian does too and all Christians who know their scripture and what Jehovah God says of Israel and its enemies. Tread lightly evildoers.

I eagerly await as well. Some of the things that are commonly condoned nowadays sickens me in my heart.
Why do you think we who have Dish watch sports basketball & football, Nascar, car auctions, quilting, cooking, GMAC, old Hee Haw’s, Pickers, Pawn Stars on History, and the Gaither’s. hundreds of channels and 95% not fit to watch.
We watch the local news, then if no races/games on a OLD movie from Netfix, which was our Christmas present from hubby’s youngest this year. We have been laughing our butts off watching the old slap stick. Some of the kids movies are to bad either. Well worth the $8 a month version. Some are in the instant que, some they mail you. They are fast, we can order 2 movies a week. And they don’t penalize you if you don’t return the right away. They don’t send the next in line until they get the one you have back. Thus you can go on vacation, with out worrying about late fees.
I gave up extended Cable and now have basic. But, I love Sundays when after church and lunch I sit back and watch Halmark movies most of the day. I watch old movies, old comedies, some stuff on Discovery and History channels. But, the new stuff doesn’t excite me. If I watch a new comedy it is not 2 minutes and something about sex or homosexuality comes up. I watch TV or go to movies to be entertained - not to be bombarded by messages sent by hollywood or TV producers. It used to be that you had to buy and add channels that were off colored now you have to buy and add those that aren’t. Sign of the times I guess. I guess I come off like a goody two shoes but I am far from it, like everyone else. I just would like more wholesome family entertainment coming across a venue I PAY FOR!
