Deputies: UCF student raped woman he met on Match.com

A woman in Seminole County was raped by a University of Central Florida student she met on the online-dating website Match.com, according to the Sheriff's Office.

The victim, whose name and age were redacted from arresting documents released Tuesday, told deputies she met 22-year-old Aaron Floyd on the website on Thursday.

The two exchanged emails and cell-phone numbers, an arrest report states. The report says Floyd asked the victim questions that were "sexual in nature," and which made her uncomfortable.

However, she eventually agreed to meet Floyd at a restaurant in Sanford on Friday, deputies said. According to the report, "they ended the night with a kiss and planned on seeing each other again."

The next day, deputies said the victim met Floyd at an unspecified place in Sanford, and eventually followed him to his apartment on Tattinger Lane in Oviedo.

Inside, investigators said Floyd forced himself on the woman. After raping her, the woman told deputies Floyd began pacing back and forth, and "acting very nervous," the report states.

As he paced, the report says Floyd told his victim, "I don't know what to do with you now?"

Deputies say he then forced her to go with him to a pharmacy, where he made her purchase and take a morning-after pill. Once they returned to his apartment, the victim told deputies she was allowed to leave.

The woman reported the attack Saturday night. The report says a medical examination discovered cuts and "reddened areas" on her body consistent with her description of the force Floyd used.

His Facebook page says Floyd is an industrial engineering student at UCF. It says he graduated from Lake Howell High School in 2006.

This woman is EXTREMELY lucky to be alive right now...

She is very lucky to be alive. The problem is that some men take it as an invitation to have sex when they get a girl to go to their room. It’s just understood by them. Who is going to tell these innocent girls not to go anyplace private with someone you don’t know?

if only she'd checked the Megans List. / Adam Walsh registry list first... oh wait... "Floyd does not appear in an online database of sex-offender records" like more than half of those convicted of sex offenses every year.

The measures we've bought into are worthless and worse. As this woman would have learned if she'd even referred to them.

women outnumber men in college. men have no shortage of females willing to “hook up” without strings. (and he couldn’t have been too repulsive, if she was willing to meet with him again the next day...)
...false accusations, are much more common than most people think. many false cases are discovered quickly. but FBI stats show almost 25% of cases that get as far as DNA testing are false.
another example is this case:

“Maybe she’s telling the truth, or maybe she’s a loon trying to sell her two books on “Bad Dates.”
He “forced her” to perform oral sex on him and she called the cops eight days later. Then she filed a “Jane Doe” lawsuit and issued a press release, with her resume, bravely announcing that she was outing herself as Jane Doe. “

Having looked at her blog & picture, perhaps the date went something like: She pulled a gun and tried to “forced him” to perform oral sex on her. He suggested she shoot him instead.

The answer is: no, they are not that dumb.

It is more probable that he dumped her after they had sex, so she got revenge by crying ‘rape’.

I don't buy her story.

excellent point. i missed that.
...he didn’t have a gun. she was in the pharmacy with him, and she admits SHE purchased the morning after pill from the clerk???
Then instead of yelling for help, she then returned to his apartment?!?

Yep. You don’t get to decide it was rape after it’s happened. She can say she was afraid, but I’d say there’s more than reasonable doubt here.

"the report says Floyd told his victim, 'I don't know what to do with you now?'"

That's right, Jeff, if the word "what" is in a sentence then that sentence is ended with a question mark.

Nice major, statism is tailor made for you dummies.

One of these days men will realize that “no sex outside of marriage” is the only way to be entirely safe from false accusations of rape.

One exception would be to have immunity if you had a “Mutual Consent” form, signed, witnessed and notarized 24 hours before the event. Yeah, I know, ain’t gonna happen.

But it would provide the guy with immunity. It would also make a whole lot of people stop and think, “Is this really a good idea?”

She is very lucky to be alive.

Hyperbole.

The report says Floyd asked the victim questions that were "sexual in nature," and which made her uncomfortable.

If we can believe his "sexual questions" made her uncomfortable, she's stupid for having agreed to meet him even once let alone going to his place on the second date.

Or she could be lying. It may not have been the encounter of her dreams. She may have felt adventurous and had regrets.

Hopefully justice will be done in this case. There have simply been too many false rape claims to just blindly accept any woman's version of events without due process.

Marriage would be no absolute barrier to false allegations either.

********************************************

Young woman have always been that dumb. They never think anything bad will ever happen to them. I was one of those idiots too.
I put myself in very dangerous situations over and over again, especially in college.
I was very lucky that no harm ever came to me from my bad decisions, because it never even occurred to me that the guy would hurt me or wouldn't take “NO” for an answer.

One day men and women will understand that sex is serious business, not something to be done casually with somebody they barely know. Marriage, ideally, should involve mutual trust, knowledge, etc; without that, a marriage certificate is no safety either.

Thats right, her first clue to drop him would have been when he started asking the sexual questions.

There’s something odd to this story, if someone just raped you why would you go back to their apartment?

True.

“Sex” is so much more that mere copulation. Sadly, those who have that limited view (mere copulation) of it, who see it only as a thrill and a “score” don’t realize what they are missing.
