Paul is simply using the GOP to run his endless Libertarian campaign. He knows he cant win with an (L) by his name so he attaches himself like a barnacle to the Republican party as a vehicle to spew his nonsense.
What’s worse is, Paul doesn’t even bring us the slightest benefit by running as a Republican. It isn’t as if his paultard minions are going to vote for the eventual Republican nominee (and no, it will never be Paul). His collection of college know-nothings, pot heads, peaceniks and truthers are going to end up voting Libertarian or Democrat anyway.
Ron Paul is not a conservative, does not belong in the Republican primaries and really should be excluded from the debates since he just wastes airtime for his own loopy agenda. He and Gary Johnson should be battling it out for the Libertarian nomination in the Libertarian party.
No surprise here. Ron Paul took money from Code Pink and Stormfront for his 2008 presidential campaign and refused to give the money back when called out on it.

It’s probably different for each person. I voted for Ron Paul in the 2008 Kansas caucus, and then I voted for McCain in the general election. Ron was at least a better choice in the primary than Huckabee or McCain. Those were the choices I had by the time I voted.
Sorry, don't buy it. You may well be the exception to the rule, but I don't think most paulbots vote for the eventual Republican nominee. I think in the general election they vote for the libertarian or for the Democrat - and then gear up for the next Ron Paul campaign.
If I believed the Republican party stood to benefit from legions of paulbots voting for the eventual GOP nominee I might detest Ron Paul a little less. At least he'd have the upside of bringing in more voters. Problem is, I don't believe it. While anecdotal, I know quite a few Ron Paul fans and they are not in any way Republicans and will only pull the lever for someone with an (R) after their name if it is Ron Paul (or maybe Gary Johnson). Sadly, many of these supposed Ron Paul fans voted for Obama (they were college kids).

That's actually not true. It is true that a lot of liberal groups were complete hypocrites about this, but Code Pink still protests. The only difference is the media won't cover it.
Yet one more reason to NOT take R-U-N Paul seriously as a Presidential Candidate (or, for any other office IMO), as if one needed another reason.

In a way, they’re just using the system - they KNOW we’re a “two-party system” so they use it.
