With a history of accusations of misogynistic behavior from both the left, MSNBC “Hardball” host Chris Matthews is not showing any indications that he’s willing to tread carefully, especially when it comes to discussing conservative women.

On his Tuesday MSNBC “Hardball” program, Matthews took another swipe at former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. In a discussion about the prospects of Minnesota Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann’s shot at the 2012 GOP presidential nomination, Matthews was warned by one of his guests not to count out Palin, to which he immediately downplayed her viability.

When Shep dip is on his second hour ( I do not view 1 or 2) at FN, I sometimes stray over to PMSNBC and the spitter. The Wife then gets more than a bit upset, and if his subject of the day is Sarah Palin, (which it usually is) I am either banished to the garage or subjected to extreme torture of the Jewelry Channel.

I keep waiting for him to keel over with a heart attack when he gets so worked up with his hatred over Sarah Palin. You can almost see spittle spewing from his mouth he gets so agitated.

Chrissie just can't compete with conservative women, which explains his mindless hatred of them. He goes on and on about Palin and Bachman, but does anybody remember how he treated Michelle Malkin the last time she was on his show, where he was spitting on her while he completely lost it?

Nothing they try seems to stick. They've tried "she can't win because she quit", "she can't win because she did a 'reality' TV show", "she can't win because her daughter did a 'reality' TV show", and about a dozen others.

They're now reduced to essentially saying "she can't win because everybody says she can't win".

Matthew’s show is funnier than Stephen Colbert, but not nearly as humorous as Jon Stewart.

The only 2 republican candidates he hasn’t laughed at are Herman Cain (doesn’t want to be called a racist) and Romney (his obvious choice to run against Obama).

I actually like Palin even though I don't share the views of her earnest supporters here regarding her inestimable leadership qualities and fitness for the presidency. That said, Matthews' comment is beyond rude; caustic, dismissive, elitist and meanspirted. I've never been of the opinion that she will actually throw her hat in the ring - despite the fervor here - and after hearing that, why on Earth would she? George W. Bush was treated absolutely shamefully by the left, and there will be no shortage of vitriol aimed at Palin were she to run; it will be brutal and relentless. They absolutely despise her. We could ruin all their plans by running Herman Cain.
