Fine. Let’s just say that had we done it Juan McCain’s way, UBL would still be alive.
I thought this was going to be about what Dirk Nowitzki did to Oklahoma City last night.
McCain gives a dishonest account of everything. Why should interrogations be different?
No one should expect objectivity from McCain on this, or even consistency. His psychological deconstruction at the hands of the communists is exactly why he was not suited to be President, and indeed careens all over the place as a Senator.
McLaim king of RINOS is a sorry excuse of a man. . . . .
Anyone who voted for McStain in the midterms is as complicit as he is in ruining the country.
He alone will work to destroy any new GOP administration if we win.
Count on it.
It takes a self-centered, egotistical POS who puts himself ahead of America's best interests.
That being said, I wish that someone would point out/ask/remind him about the following:
1. The Navy SEALS who took down UBL voluntarily subject themselves to ongoing training/conditioning that is far, far MORE stressful and physically painful than waterboarding.
2. If McCain was a federal judge, and selected to preside over a trial involving torture, he waould have to recuse himself, given his wartime experience. He should consider recusing himself from this debate.
3. Remember during the Bush presidency, when the debate over so-called "torture" first started, McCain said that he would be OK with any form of torture if we mad an immediate need to find a dirty nuke concealed somewheres in the US. The fact that he is OK with this indicates that he knows that "enhanced interrogation" does work, and that even if he doesn't like it, he'll go along with it under some situations. So, it's NOT OK if it saves 100 lives, but perfectly acceptable if it saves 10,000? That removes the moral suasion factor from his argument.
They'll be having them "neat", of course. I'm pretty sure there will be no ice.
FUJM! ping
There is no way in the world that John McCain can be considered an objective observer on the subject of torture. He should recuse himself and the press should always issue a disclaimer when using him to fulfill their agenda.
