Sovereignty: The "Arab Spring" is supposed to be about the liberation of the Middle East from the despotisms of the past. Funny that Arab protesters' latest target is the one and only stable democracy in the region: Israel.
The more things change, the more they stay the same. Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak may be history after mass demonstrations led to an end to his rule and an uncertain future for the land of the Pharaohs, a nation that in the not-too-distant past warred with Israel and allied itself with the Soviet Union.
Moammar Gadhafi may not be in as comfortable a position in Libya as he was once. And the living symbol of jihad, Osama bin Laden, may no longer be living.
But in spite of what many in Western governments and media hail as steps toward liberty and Westernization, and away from Islamist hatred for the free world, for too many Arabs the ultimate message seems to be the same as it ever was: Death to Israel.
Speaking to Muslim worshipers in Gaza City on Sunday as they commemorated Nakba — translated as "the day of the catastrophe," or when Israel was established in 1948 — Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh exhorted his listeners to pray for an end to Israel.
"Palestinians mark the Nakba with great hope of bringing to an end the Zionist project in Palestine," Haniyeh told the crowds as he promised that Hamas would never recognize Israel's right to exist.
And could it be a coincidence that Arab demonstrators flooded to numerous points on Israel's borders — next to Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and the West Bank, also in commemoration of Nakba?

The only fight the Egyptians have been in nearly 40 years the the herding of their own citizenry.
Yes, the have some F-15s and some M1A1s...but they and all Arab forces combined could not defeat the IDF, especially in open terrain.
YHow would Egypt get their army across the Sinai? How would Syria cross the Golan? How would Iran reinforce?

Give Arabs Star Wars weapons and they will still get their ass kicked by a competent military. Their leadership is corrupt and unqualified and their troops no matter how ideologically intense (mostly an act) are undisciplined and incapable of anything other than martyrdom.

This is no grass-roots rising of Arabs caught up in the spirit of what took place in Cairo or Tunisia earlier this year.
The invasion that took place this weekend is perfectly in line with the Muslim Brotherhood/Soros/Obama coup that took place in Cairo.
Anyone who thinks Islam is for democracy, in no matter what country in which Islam dominates, has a screw loose. Anyone who thinks that most Egyptian Muslims support Israel and are for peace with the Jooooos needs to have their head examined. These Egyptian “peaceful democracy protestors” are murdering Christians over there right now. They are warming up for the slaughter Jews.
Muslims are organizing a big march over the Israeli border from Egypt for this summer. They are calling out to Muslims around the world to join them in a “peaceful march” across the border.
There is too much “HOPE” built on the lies of political correctness. What happened in Egypt is not what Obama and his minions claim. We are doing Jimmy Carter all over again with even bigger dangers for the US and Israel.
If you understand anything about Judaism—you will realize that the LAND OF ISRAEL is an absolute essential element n Jewish life—Jewish laws, Jewish culture, Jewish history etc....

That being said, I'd say you're dead on target. I don't know if the fight that's coming this summer will wind up being the invasion of Israel that we're all expecting, but as far as I can tell there's nothing showing that it won't be either.
I agree that any attack of Israel should come when BHO is President. The Muzzies probably should wait until there is a troop drawdown from the region.
