Eight years as president is enough, thank you. At least that's what Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton says President Barack Obama told her the other day.
. . . Clinton says Obama told her, "I'm going to win re-election, and then I'm done," a remark that drew laughter from the audience.

Uhh, in your case Mr. President, four years is enough. Even two years has been too much.

Uhh, why the hell was this even brought up? Was Dumbo thinking of changing the constitution so he can be president for life?

Wonder if the , ahem, Constitutional Law Professor realized he can serve NO MORE than eight years, under the Constitution?

He probably figures since he wasn’t natural born (dad was not a US citizen) then he could probably ignore the 2 terms part of the constitution as well.

You’re toast and so is an administration stacked full of transsexuals, homosexuals, lesbians. Heading the list is the secretary of STEAK: Hitlery von Rottenham Klinton.

Maybe their floating a trial balloon to start a groundswell of grassroots support so they have to change it.

Do you really think the Baraqqis are worried about what the Constitution says?
They’ve unilaterally rewritten bankruptcy law and a bunch of others, so why not? If Baraq want out after 8, maybe put Eric Holder in?
To: oldbill
Eight years is enough. Four years of Carter. Four years of Carter II.
More than enough, I’d say.

All of his heroes are "Presidents for Life" so it must have entered his head to try to find a way to get around the constitutional limitation.
The Democrats don't have much respect for the Constitution, and they see the 22nd amendment as a slap at the memory of FDR, but there will be enough ambitious Democrats wanting to be elected President that even they may not be eager for Obama to have a third, fourth, and fifth term.
To: oldbill
You know it occured to me, not only is Obama going to STEAL this next election, he is going to sign another "back door" bill that allows presidents to serve more than 2 terms...mark my words.

Malignant narcissism at work. I will honestly be relieved when he's gone. Malignant narcissists don't do well with rage. . . especially when they're "cornered". . as I feel he is telegraphing now. . Not your ideal POTUS and CIC situation, regardless of who it is. .

She told a State Department forum that neither she nor Obama can understand leaders who refuse to transfer power and cling to office for 10, 20, 30 or 40 years. She says she and the president joke: "Oh, my gosh. Can you imagine?" Are you sure they were joking?
Barry probably is joking. I'm sure he wants to ditch this backwater mudhole as soon as possible, and step up to being Secretary General of the United Nations, where he belongs. It's more befitting his talents to lecture and condescend to the entire world, not just one ill-swept corner of it.
Hillary, though? She'd sit at the big desk in the White House until her very last breath. Even if that breath was taken with her body on life support and her brain in a jar, still issuing orders and clinging to power, some 200 years later.

With all due respect, there seems to be a tinge of self-pity in the eight-is-enough remark relayed by Ms. Clinton. Mister Obama barely works a fraction of the time and intensity that was President Dubya's schedule; AND Dubya NEVER WHINED!
.
History will regard Dubya as one of our great presidents, and Mister Obama's often feckless and inattentive administration consistently presents a near-total contrast.
