6 months ago I purchased a 60 watt equivalent which consumes 6 watts for $16 from Loews. I see no reason LED replacement bulb cannot be made in the USA in sufficient quantities so as to cost the same as the current bulbs.

It is whiter in color temperature than we are used to from incandescents but runs COLD and is easily dimmed.

As LEDs are available in many colors, a simple mixing of colors could easily be made to reproduce the color temperature to which we have grown accustomed.

It is a testament to the corruption in the Government/Green movement that CFLs were ever offered as a lower energy solution to our current bulbs. Just one of many fronts where we are pawns in the Progressive, Green, Socialist, Marxist plot to destroy everything which made the USA more successful than any other country in the world.
