Herman Cain: Trump is a bully who was unsuitable for the presidency
Hot Air ^

Posted on 05/16/2011 9:11:11 PM PDT by Bigtigermike

“That is very good,” Cain said this afternoon of Trump’s exit from the political stage. “…I’m very proud that I have never held public office because most of the people in Washington, D.C., they have held public office.”…

“I was never threatened or concerned about Donald Trump in the first place, to be perfectly honest, because bullying, being a bully is not a leadership strategy, not if you want to lead the United States of America,” Cain told a group of Iowa reporters this afternoon. “And so I was not surprised he is not running.”

Cain might be in position to siphon off some potential Trump supporters because Cain has a business background and is known to be willing to take it hard to Obama — two things people liked about Trump.

Parents were

Why bash Trump now, when he already announced he is not running?

Cain should focus on Obama and tell us what makes him think he can beat him. That is what this election should be about — which Republican candidate can and will beat Obama.

imo Trump (for me)lost his credibility when he acknowledged the release of the LFBC of dear leader w/o challenging it.
That for me said it all.

As for Herman Cain, i really don’t know yet.

Has anyone ever heard that dear leader is a 32nd deg Prince Hall mason?

Herman Cain may be all that but he has no domestic or foreign policy experience to speak of

I like the idea of a president who is an unapologetic bully when it comes to standing up for the USA. Trump wasn’t the guy though.

We’re seeing a lot of Trump and Huckabee folks joining Cain right now. I just learned Huckabee’s IL director just got in the Cain Camp.

"...because bullying, being a bully is not a leadership strategy, not if you want to lead the United States of America..."

Here I have a philosophical difference with Cain. The POTUS is the leader of the executive branch of government. He is not the leader of America. In a free country, people follow whomever they voluntarily choose...be it an employer, a pastor, etc. Those are the people that lead a free nation. Certainly the POTUS represents our nation on the world stage, and hopefully steers the federal government in a direction that maximizes and protects my freedom and the freedoms of my fellow citizens, but since I resigned my commission from the military, I'm under no obligation to follow any POTUS regardless of how much he does or doesn't inspire, motivate or disgust me.

Now, the people in the executive branch...the president does in fact lead them, and a little bullying is probably exactly what some of the entrenched bureaucrats there need.

Hope Herman figures it out.

Personally, I expect Herman Cain to whip up the field, but I don’t think he can win.

I’m not going to shoot from the lip on Afghanistan

As another FReeper pointed out, it’s quite refreshing to have a candidate who does not give a poll tested answer.

I hope you are right because Cain is one guy who can really take it to Barry without getting the racist label. He needs to start bashing BHO all day everyday. Thats the only way to beat the guy. Being polite and civil is the sure way to lose to this Marxist thug. Go Herman!!!!

I think there is a difference between bullying and taking the bull by the horns. My guess is that Cain knows the difference.

"I think there is a difference between bullying and taking the bull by the horns."

Well, I'm no Trump fan either, but all it seems like Cain is doing here is beating a dead horse.
