One member of Communications Workers of America Local 1101 said that after he reported a time-sheet padding scheme, a thug beat him so badly his spine was injured. * * * "This was union greed and that's worse than corporate greed," said Kevin Condy, a reform movement leader of the 6,700-member local that represents mostly Verizon workers in Manhattan and the Bronx. "These guys acted like they felt they were entitled."

I was a service fee payer to the cwa for 40 years.
In 1970 I joined the union by choice, later in the 70s it became mandatory.

Didn’t the US gov’t have to take over the running of the Teamsters in the early 70s because of the mob rip offs and theft to retirement accounts? Apparently they were stealing everything not nailed down. I suspect not much has changed.

Teamsters violence became so bad in Louisiana in the 1970s that LA became a right to work state. I think some other states went RTW then too.
I guess every generation has to go through the abuse of the Left to learn about what it will do when empowered versus what it says when it is seeking power.
That is because the Left writes history and airbrushes the stupidity, abuse and failure of their Marxist ideology. So every generation just has to repeat the cycle.
