Newt Gingrich has thrown his hat into the ring. The former House speaker has formally declared he will seek the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. Mr. Gingrich has toyed for years with running for the White House. Now he finally is all in. Mr. Gingrich has many positive attributes. He is articulate, smart and possesses instant name recognition. Moreover, he has a political machine and a network of advisers that will help him establish a formidable ground game. Mr. Gingrich’s candidacy, however, is a dollar short and a day late.

I'm not even sure that would be true. Gingrich seems to be an excellent person to go to for ideas and advice, but I don't really see him as having the qualities to make decisions -- he's an "idea guy" not an "decider".
The GOP will probably trot out Jeb Bush and Daniels for VP. Bush/Daniels. That would provide continuity to the Ponzi scheme and Glabalization in the event Obama self destructs.
Totally right. On a talk show last night, he praised Obama for getting bin Laden, and said that he's right for not releasing the pictures.
No one with real leadership qualities talks like that. A serious candidate for office also doesn't put their foot in their mouth like that, right out of the gate.
Bush and Daniels would definitely push me toward Gingrich. I had to get drunk to vote for McCain. A couple of jello shots and I could probably pull the lever for Newt. At least he has the killer instinct and would go for Barry’s throat in the debates. Then if he wins we just have to keep him off the settee with Nancy. LOL!!
Your time is past, Newt. Heck, even my barber thinks that. A barber whose shop has been in your old GA 6th District for more than 30 years.
An excellent way to describe him! And for that very reason I am delighted to see him officially in the race. He will make any debate that includes him a whole lot more lively than it would have been without him.
He brings a lot to the table. Much of it not very good for him. But it would be a shame to deprive our side of his knowledge and understanding of history, Washington, DC and politics because of his personal shortcomings.
To deprive our cause of the benefits he can bring to it is, IMHO, to punish us for something he did.
Although not my last choice for nominee he's pretty far down the list, but I could certainly vote for him over Obama!
I voted for Palin. McCain was unbearable and still is. I just still think the GOP RINOS are setting the plate for a miraculous Jeb Bush candidacy.
It’s not surprising that Michael Savage’s butt boy has the same opinion as his master.
It would be a hard pill to swallow for sure.
