If you know anyone from Southern California, you've probably heard them wax poetic about In-N-Out Burger.
The legendary family-run chain is now winning over legions of new fans, but farther east than ever before as two new restaurants open in the north Texas towns of Frisco and Allen.
Cars lined up as far as two miles for the drive-thrus, and fans spent the night in the parking lot, for the chance to get a bite of the first In-N-Out burgers east of Arizona.
Danielle DeInnocentes of The Colony, Texas, broke into tears after she bit into a Double-Double, a famous In-N-Out sandwich made from two meat patties and two slices of cheese.
Ms DeInnocentes is originally from Rialto, California, and in a video posted online, she says she is ecstatic that In-N-Out opened a restaurant two miles from her house.
She told restaurant staff: 'You're going to see my every day'.
Ms DeInnocentes called the Double-Double 'the best hamburger in the world', and said, 'Pinch me, it doesn't feel real!'

One of the fun things about In 'n' Out is modifying their bumper stickers. I've seen people make "In 'n' Out 'n' In 'n' Out", "In 'n' Out Urge", "Urge To Regurge", etc.
Now that In ‘n’ Out and Carl’s Jr are in Texas, my cutting of ties with California is complete.
And they gave you pickled carrot , onion and pepper, as well as hot sauce. Dyumn! you just cant beat that
In n out doesn’t fill their stuff with fake flavorings and msg. Their fries are potatoes they slice themselves and fry. They make a great “protein burger,” without the bun.
I get my kids their 700+ calorie milkshakes when they need more calories after practice. They are made with real ice cream.
It’s the best fast food and I hate fast food.
The only chain missing is Roundtable Pizza... but if going without is the price of California going away, I’ll live with it...
I'm wondering if people here have dirty minds. LOL
Paging Laz, please pickup the white courtesy phone.
Except that one week in September when Chino is in Reno.
Go Bear!
Dammit, now you had to go and mention Round Table Pizza. Never found another pizza place like it. Just wish it weren't so dang expensive!
The only thing I care about from them is the Italian Garlic Supreme.
Foolishly, they have decided to expand into places like Oregon and Washington instead of Texas.
The burgers are only OK...the FRIES are outstanding!
Texas is doomed if enough Californians have moved into the state to cause a two-mile line and make this a news item.
So I’m guessing you’ve been to the airshow in August, usually, in Camarillo, CA?
Don’t believe there’s any dirt parking!
Camarillo Airport used to be Oxnard Air Force Base, so it’s an excellent airfield.
Has a neat little resturant, too - called ‘The Way Stop,’ maybe? Breakfast and Lunch.
(An In and Out is nearby, also - can be seen from the Ventura Freeway - 101)!
In addition, there is the Premium Outlets Mall - right near In and Out. For a small city, Camarillo has a lot going for it!
Navy Base Ventura County is 10 miles away from Camarillo - right on the ocean. Used to be called Point Mugu. It has it’s own great airshow - can’t remember when.
Bingo!
They are probably fresh cut. Fresh cut fries are never as good as frozen. Even if I cut my own fries, I soak them in water, then freeze them. The ice on/in a frozen fry really activates the cooking oil and gives you a crisp, airy fry. A freshly cut and fried fry is like you say--limp and soggy.
Reminds me of Kripsy Kreme. I suppose one day In and Out will have a big IPO. They'll go national. There will be In and Outs in Manhattan. It'll be money money money. Then one day the magic will wear off, the stock will be a dog, and the company will hire a woman CEO to start putting salads and wraps and caramel coffees on the menu just to stay afloat.
The only time there hasn't been a significant line at the Indio store was Christmas Eve about five years ago....wifey and I had gone to her Christmas Eve Mass at 4:30 with plans to eat at one of the local Mexican places afterwards.
Each potential spot was closed as we worked our way down Highway 111.....yet we pulled up to In-N-Out and voila; not a car in line. That turned out to be mama's very first Double-Double, and she's been a fellow fan ever since.
Hey, give her a break! She's also in tears for not having been born in Texas! :-)
Couldn't have said it better myself.
And yes, we are doomed.
