If you know anyone from Southern California, you've probably heard them wax poetic about In-N-Out Burger.
The legendary family-run chain is now winning over legions of new fans, but farther east than ever before as two new restaurants open in the north Texas towns of Frisco and Allen.
Cars lined up as far as two miles for the drive-thrus, and fans spent the night in the parking lot, for the chance to get a bite of the first In-N-Out burgers east of Arizona.
Danielle DeInnocentes of The Colony, Texas, broke into tears after she bit into a Double-Double, a famous In-N-Out sandwich made from two meat patties and two slices of cheese.
Ms DeInnocentes is originally from Rialto, California, and in a video posted online, she says she is ecstatic that In-N-Out opened a restaurant two miles from her house.
She told restaurant staff: 'You're going to see my every day'.
Ms DeInnocentes called the Double-Double 'the best hamburger in the world', and said, 'Pinch me, it doesn't feel real!'

Lol, and girls who wouldn't drink some of the rougher beers from that era liked Coors.
I have been making just such a sandwich for the past two weeks on toasted french bread with the roast beast and cheddar warmed through but not over melty. Bread slathered with hot mustard and then slathered with finely diced serrano peppers.
OMG!
It’s my damn sangwich, I invented it!
I would put it up against ANY FF sandwich and it takes like 5 min to make.
I meant it to be funny - exactly because it isn’t the “burgers gone-by” that makes you cry!
It is what you said. Those misty water-colored memories of life events that sorround the enjoyment and comraderie of good friends and good times in youth in your home town.
Rev 3:20 “Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.”
Free Republic is in California.
Bingo. And competition is good - so now the Texas Burger Wars can begin, with the consumer the winner. :D
You sure can at the one by my house and I'm pretty sure it was the 2nd In N out ever built.
I didnt say Kellers was a tavern.
Its just a FF joint that serves cold beer.
Still it’s Dallas icon.
California has Five Guys now too.
They are my top two.
It’s a web site. It could, for all practical purposes, be hosted in Timbuktu. (And after the Righthaven debacle, I’m shocked that it isn’t hosted elsewhere to avoid repeat occurrences.)
There is no technical need for it to be hosted there. The sooner FR moves, the sooner I can donate more money.
Well, those places are freeking awesome!
I used to always get the chili dogs.
I can hit Tommy’s within 5 minutes too. Same with Astroburger.
Speaking as a foodie and home gourmet cook, a great burger is one of the best things there is.
They shake and salt the heck out of them.
It could. But it isn't. Perhaps Jim doesn't like Timbuktu.
Yes, but they’re not taverns. There’s a reason a surprising number of diners survived and most taverns didn’t.
I dunno why it’s still in CA at all, because as long as it’s in the US at all and especially California, it’s a huge target for clever leftists with lawyers.
If it were hosted, say, in Canada, they’d play hell getting cross-border suits going.
You had to go and do that didn't you?
Now I'm so hungry I could eat my own fingers. (grin)
Amen!!! Tried ordering one at Taco bell recently and they looked at me like I was bat sheet crazy.
