FARGO - Ed Schultz, the former Fargo radio talk-show host and sportscaster, is being sued by a man who claims he helped Schultz get his current gig as host of The Ed Show, a daily political talk show on MSNBC.
In a civil complaint in federal court, a broadcast engineer for NBC, Michael Queen, alleges that Schultz owes him at least $100,000 for the 25 percent stake of the shows profits Schultz promised him.
Queen claims in court records that he approached Schultz in January 2008 to ask him if he had anybody trying to land a TV show for him.
No, Schultz is quoted as saying in the complaint. Now youre it!
In numerous 2008 emails, Schultz agreed to split half of the revenue of the show, after expenses, with Queen and Max Schindler, former director of NBC News and Meet the Press, Queen alleges in the lawsuit.
Queen claims he acted as Schultzs TV agent, paying $11,500 for a pilot episode with a home equity loan in June 2008 and locating and furnishing an apartment in Washington, D.C., for Schultz and his wife in January 2009.
While Schultz eventually paid Queen $12,000 for the pilot expenses, hes refused to pay other expenses or honor the profit-sharing agreement, he alleges.
Queen claims in the lawsuit Schultz told him he was paid a starting salary of $1 million soon after The Ed Show premiered.
James Holm, Schultzs producer, said today that Schultz would not have a comment on the lawsuit.

I don’t think I’d want to publicly admit that.

Isn’t that like getting someone installed as the Official Yodeler of Harlem?

Really? Just state that Queen’ is a Republican, loves Bush and a Christian, and you’ll see Special Ed’ bark and growl like there’s no tomorrow.
NBC is paying Special Ed Schulz one million dollars? That must be at least 20 dollars per viewer!
It should be called “The Mr. Ed Show.”
A horse is a horse, of course, of course, unless the horse is a horse’s (insert vulgar word for rear end here).
Call him up and ask him about it.
The name sounds familiar, but I never heard him.
Wasn’t he a DUmmmie type Airhead America radical Marxist?
The folks on FR never cease to amaze me. I make a reference to a 50-year old TV show, and five minutes later there’s a picture posted from the show.
This is outrageous! Shultz should be ashamed that such blatant lies are being spread about him - - anyone knows there’s no way in hell he’s earned $100,000 in profit from his show. He should settle with the guy for $50 and put this behind him ;-)
He’s being sued by a radical named Mr. Queen. Heh heh.
Hahahaha. Very good:)
Its what we do....;)
The Lefties always talk about taxing “the rich,” but as soon as they get a few bucks themselves, they become the greediest bastards around.
LOL!
Is that you, Bullwinkle?
