Former Bay State Gov. Mitt Romney will detail his proposal to reform health care Thursday in a speech meant to confront the biggest hiccup in his 2012 presidential bid — but he’s unlikely to renounce the Massachusetts health care reform he helped create.

“He keeps trying to put lipstick on his Massachusetts pig. Until he admits it was a pig nobody is going to believe him.”

One of the many, many signs that the man is an utterly egotistical, self absorbed megalomaniac. A truly objective and adept political whore would say “Aw, shucks people! I made a TERRIBLE mistake back then! As a result of that mistake, I am now uniquely qualified to know exactly what went wrong, and thus what needs to be corrected. Vote for me, and that mistake will never be repeated.” But he cannot admit personal error. Probably he cannot conceive of it.

The only plan I want to hear from Republicans is this one:

1. Repeal ObamaCare.

Until they stand up and fight on that issue, and support states that have sued to stop its enforcement, they are dead to me.

Afterwards, they might perhaps consider the following:

2. Allow health plans to be sold to participants in any state.
3. Make all health plans fully portable and allow for group ratings based on criteria other than employment.
4. Reform both malpractice and tort laws to reestablish traditional, common-law standards of liability, and cap damages for pain and suffering.

This is actually good news. I was hoping he wouldn’t run away from his health care plan. He will be easier to defeat this way. It would have been harder to kill this vampire if he had distanced himself from it since he is such a slick talker and would have sucked in a lot of people.

Absolutely. If Mitt wins the nom, the GOP strategy will be to repeal Obamacare, and just replace it with Obamacare Lite. Won't work. Even if it did, we'd be up the same sh** creek we are now. Romney or Obama? Talk about the illusion of choice...

Romneycare supporters like Brandeis University health policy professor Stuart Altman brag that “the basic reason for the reform was to extend coverage, and on this, we have done amazingly well.” But that’s only if you use the phrase “extend coverage” to mean “the government forced you to buy your own insurance.” Romneycare hasn’t made that insurance more affordable — just the opposite. Many people have seen their premiums double in the past five years.

Mitt did nothing as Gov of Mass. except sign the health care overhaul bill the Democrat controlled legislature put on his desk. Oh, and he got p-offed when concrete ceiling tiles fell and killed an illegal in the Ted Williams Tunnel, he had to bring his hair down in that dirty pit and publicly chastise the head of the agency involved.

He did nothing to support his Lt. Governor, Kerry Healey, when she ran for Gov against Obama clone, Deval Patrick.

Mitt has done nothing in the previous two years when real Republican leadership would have been welcomed. Oh wait, he secretly supported the uber Rino, Scott (I was molested!) Brown, in his successful senate run against Martha Coakley.

That’s some record to run on. Go Casper Milt-toast, go- away.

I’m supporting the candidate the left fears the most, Sarah Palin. Run Sarah, run!
