I appreciate that...I am the adoptive mom of of a female lab/chou, and will be fostering her shelter roommate as of next week. What breed is the roommate? “Brown” LOL.
Sorry daughter was 'too tired'! Perhaps, someday, she'll know what tired REALLY is! ;)
Weather here is rather iffy...overcast with a breeze but no rain like they keep saying. (I need the lawn watered so rain would be quite welcome...water is way too expensive!)
Happy Mothers Day! :)
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it happens before the day ends! :)
Happy Moms Day (again)! Sure hope that all works out, especially for Linda! (No turf war...lol)
How was your day?
Happy Mother's Day.
No flowers in case they make you sneeze.
Aloha, Hawaii...((HUGS))...guess what? We got about 15 minutes of real rain. LOL! Hope you had a good weekend.
At the end of my mothers earthly journey, she and Dad were still very much in love and shared a strong faith in Christ. My mother had developed dementia and began to lose memories of even her family. Yet Dad would regularly visit her at the assisted living home and find ways to accommodate her diminished capacities.
For instance, he would take her some saltwater taffy, unwrap a piece, and place it in her mouthsomething she could not do for herself. Then as she slowly chewed the candy, Dad would quietly sit with her and hold her hand. When their time together was over, Dad, beaming with a wide smile, would say, I feel such peace and joy spending time with her.
Though touched by Dads great joy in helping Mom, I was more affected by the reality that he was depicting Gods grace. Jesus was willing to humble Himself to connect with us in our weaknesses. In reflecting on Christs incarnation, John wrote, The Word became flesh and dwelt among us (1:14). Taking on human limitations, He did countless acts of compassion to accommodate us in our weakness.
Do you know anyone who might benefit from Jesus helpful, accommodating love that could flow through you to them today?
Read: John 1:9-14
My nephew is in Afghanistan (SPC4 Adam USA), I keep him in my prayers.
God’s blessings on all of you, brave patriots.
A very relaxing day here....no rain, yet, and none of those unmentionables! :)
As you're known to MANY as Ma.......
Good evening, Pro...((HUGS))...did you and HilarywithoneL have a good Chinese luncheon date?
I am a wee bit concerned about a “Turf War”.
Linda has gotten extremely attached to me and very protective. Oh Well, if it doesn’t work out, so be it. That is why we are doing it on a trial basis. I adopted Linda outright, but Brandy will be a Fostering situation until we know whether or not it will work out.
HOPEFULLY, the two of them remember their time together and just continue as before. It hasn’t been that long and their keen sense may just kick in! Prayers that it’s a go!
