President Barack Obama gave the go-ahead for U.S. forces to raid a northern Pakistan housing compound based on "what was probably a 50-50 chance that Osama bin Laden was there," his national security adviser said.
"At the end of last year, we assessed that al Qaeda had been diminished ... to its weakest since 2001," said the security adviser...
On April 28, Obama attended the last of several National Security Council meetings focused on finding and going after the al Qaeda leader. During that meeting, some advocated for the commando raid while others advised against it, Donilon said, given there had been no clear-cut sightings of bin Laden by that point.

I’d say there’s a 50% chance Osama was not there.
Good on him for giving the ops a go.
That was really “gusty”. (A lot of wind).
You got that right. Did a guy who never voted in the Senate take this kind of chance? No way!
“”On April 28, Obama attended the last of several National Security Council meetings focused on finding and going after the al Qaeda leader.”””
The meetings must have been on the golf course since that’s where he spends all his time.
Me thinks not.
I’ll take other side of the bet.
I’d say there’s a 50% chance Obama was not there.
Who? Panetta ?
Obama flipped a coin, in essence.
If it was 50 50, than it was alaways 50 50, so again, why do this raid now? Something does not add up.
Interesting. I don’t see a National Security Council meeting on his schedule for that day:

Right. He’d be guilty of the same sort of “war crimes” he wants to nail Bush-Cheney over. in fact even with Bin Laden being there, he is.
Such prosecutions are bogus to begin with.
More after the fact hyperbole BS to make the President’s call here look tougher. By the time the decision was made RUMINT has it they were looking at 90-95% confidence levels.
Hmmmmm....probably called him off the Women’s 10th tee-box at Andrews AFB GC to make that decision.
1. Went to pickup at the local take-out
2. Walking the dog
3. Out with one of his wives, to Mohammad's for dinner
If this was true, why not just approve the pair of B2s loaded with JDAMs package that was run by him earlier?
Just another attempt to try and portray Zero as a manly man as opposed to the sits down to pee metrosexual that he is.

“Something does not add up.”
With Uberdork in office, not much adds up!
Obama Hesitated Panetta Issued Order to Kill Osama Bin Laden
Note:This update comes some 24 hours after our longtime Washington D.C. Insider first outlined shocking details of an Obama administration having been overruled by senior military and intelligence officials leading up to the successful attack against terrorist Osama Bin Laden. What follows is further clarification of Insiders insights surrounding that event.
Q: You stated that President Obama was overruled by military/intelligence officials regarding the decision to send in military specialists into the Osama Bin Laden compound. Was that accurate?
A: I was told in these exact terms, we overruled him. (Obama) I have since followed up and received further details on exactly what that meant, as well as the specifics of how Leon Panetta worked around the presidents persistent hesitation to act. There appears NOT to have been an outright overruling of any specific position by President Obama, simply because there was no specific position from the president to do so. President Obama was, in this case, as in all others, working as an absentee president.
