Former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Sunday questioned why the Obama administration is releasing so much information about the operation that resulted in the death of Usama bin Laden and the intelligence behind it.
While Rumsfeld praised President Obama for overseeing and green-lighting the daring raid last weekend, he suggested the White House could be taking a risk in sharing the details it has with the public.
"The more information that goes out about intelligence, the greater the risks to our people and the less likelihood we're going to be able to capture and/or kill some of the people who would result from the intelligence take here," Rumsfeld said on CBS' "Face the Nation."

Everybody knows reelecting Our Savior to save us is more important than some outmoded, timeworn, and discredited cliche' like "national security" in this so-called "war" which Bushitler started.
Give us a break, Slumsfull! /s/
Lets see what we already know;
(1) The attack carrier Vincent is home to Seal Team 6 Where ever its going they’re going with it.
(2) The baffle (Pie plate) on the tail rotor assembly indicates main rotor blades torques hard right.
(3) We told them we know who and where they are (instead of tagging them)
and this tag line says it all
I don’t know but the guy in that picture looks like saddam. ;>) Must be watching from hell.
After an IED being found off some PA Amtrac tracks Friday, it’s readily apparent that the admin “recklessly” put the intel about AQ’s desire to hit rail targets out to the media in order to give psychotics and terrorists a chance to hit their targets before security measures are placed.
YEP.
They’re leaking everything because Obama wants to keep “his” victory in the public eye. They’re frantic because he hasn’t gotten a bounce out of all this.
In the last few days Rice, Rumsfeld, Cheney and others have been interviewed. It makes me long for a time when adults were in the Executive branch.
When Clinton was there, it was the kids.
With Obama, it’s the narcissistic incompetents.
Great idea, and good for national security. All too many seem more interested in bragging and justifying their role than in letting the enemy guess and wonder what we got from Osama's hangout.
We might need to go back to keeping everything very secret, with top secret debriefings for those who actually participated, and then summary reports for top officials, and only reasonable summaries released to the public.
This real time viewing, or real time updates to so many seems like a formula for releasing far too much information far too soon (and for releasing a lot of incorrect information).
As Oliver North wrote, “[Obama] made the right decision. Regrettably, he also decided he wanted everyone to know about it.”

Who is the Admins wikileaks czar?
No $h!t. The damned idiots threw away invaluable tactical intel advantage for personal political advantage. Keep your F’n mouths shut. Your propaganda press and the “people” don’t have to know anything about this right now. Won’t release a BC or a photo of dead OBL but will broadcast to our enemies that we know what they have planned.
FUBO & FAD
All part of the “most transparent admin.”, don’t ‘cha know?
Stupid statement 1.
"The (pie plate) indicates main rotor blades torques hard right."
Stupid statement 2.
"Lets see what we already know;"
Some much less than others.
His wisdom and warning about the unintended consequences of "loose lips" was largely ignored by Geraldo, of course.
Oberlin College's web site contains a priceless collection of WWII Posters which emphasized the need for secrecy about America's war effort. They are graphic and speak volumes about the mindset then and now.
One poster depicts a paratrooper being shot just as he lands, with the words, "CARELESS TALK . . . got there first."
The selfish and blatant politicization of this most recent military achievement risks the lives of thousands and serves no worthwhile purpose for national security.
As the Navy Seal stated last night, such publicizing of detail about last Sunday's events puts the lives of many overseas in jeopardy. Those Administration officials and media hounds who are doing it should be ashamed of themselves.
Looks like the schools for community organizer never taught the “Loose lips sink ships” motto of warfare. The lefties elected a real gem of DUmmie stupidity in this resident of the WH.
If this were a normal terrorist, I would agree. Normally the military would wait about 6 weeks to announce the killing or capture of a wanted terrorist so that they have a chance to translate, decode, and follow-up on all of the leads acquired from confiscated computers, videotapes, other evidence and “interviews” with associates. But if we waited 6 weeks to make the announcement, few would believe it. The PR value here of the raid was worth more than the intel value.
That said, it make take 10 more years to dismantle the rest of Al Qaeda piece by piece.
It is ridiculous. Biden leaked what special forces- exact unit was used and Obama and Holder with intel is frightening as all they want to do is give terrorists lawyers and miranda rights.
