Its not every day that you see women circling Boston Common in the midafternoon wearing only micro minis and bras.
So when the Boston Slutwalk wound its way from Government Center to the Common yesterday, chanting, However we dress, wherever we go, yes means yes, and no means no, heads turned, but there werent many catcalls.
But then, you dont mess with 200 sluts on a mission.

Don't bother braying that out to me, Natalie ... you're preaching to the choir. Try telling it to the rapists.
Now how come we can’t have those kind of protesters in San Francisco, or LA, or NYC creating a ruckus?
Surely, the USA can do better than the “Slutwalk” crowd.
And don’t call me Shirley.
Mission accomplished.
These women need to get over themselves as something no man can resist.
It ain't hard to ignore a chick with a chip on her shoulder.
Agreed. Rape is rape. The point I'm trying to make is that the majority of rape victims are not sluts or those dressed like sluts. The majority of rape victims are our wives, our mothers, our daughters. There was a 12-year-old girl in my community some years ago snatched off the street by a pedophile while she was walking home from school. A mother of two in my neighborhood was sexually assaulted on her way home from work one night.
For this "movement" to infer that women are victims of sex predators because they dress like sluts is very insulting to the majority of women who dress like ladies.
Still, the valid source of the anger is the notion that rapist is not a criminal because his victim was dressed immodestly. Kennedy-Smith, Assanage, that guy from Iraqi inspection team, Polanski,... they all got found innocent because their victim “was a slut.”
How many do you have?
Whatever floats your boat...
The statement that was made, is the same argument as that concerning flashing wads of money around in a bad part of town. The fool who walks into a gang hangout with $100 bills sticking out of his pockets doesn't deserve to get robbed, but he was none the less a fool who made robbery far more likely.
Its common sense, yet like all other Leftists, these women feel a need to rebel against reality.
I suppose that if the cop had stated that women shouldn't pass out nude at parties, that these women would be naked and unconscious for their protest.
I so agree.
And I'm so tired of liberals trying to demand respect.
They don't seem to understand that one earns respect, and for women, dressing like a tramp just isn't going to do it.
I do draw the line at people blaming a skimpily-dressed woman for rape, though.
The rapist is the criminal.
But, since rapists are out there, why do women demean themsleves so and tempt sickos like that?
As I watched the video it was all could think of.
There’s a slut walk in Boston pretty much every Fri. and Sat. night:)
The Kennedy got off because he was a Kennedy, not because of the panties.
But the point was how not to invite a crime. I don’t deserve to have my computer stolen just because I left it in the open in an unlocked car, but my actions were none the less foolish and made the crime far more likely.
Like all crime vicitims, some women that get raped could have avoided the crime by making better decisions. To pretend otherwise only leads to more women getting raped. However, the vicitim’s bad decisions should never be a defense for the perp.
Indeed!
From the first photo caption:: "Ukrainian women's rights group Femen fights sex tourism and prostitution with breasts bared."
I'm not sure their strategy is a sound one, but I'll continue to observe and critique. ;-)
Fellow Christians, look at this way:
Christ announced his mission was “to bring glad tidings to the poor... to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.”
Suppose a 19-year-old girl, going with the crowd, dresses a little racy and gets raped. Who is she going to feel better towards to, the person who scolds her because it’s her own fault, or the person who is enraged towards the rapist? The anger needs to be towards the rapist!
These rapists who get off because the women “dress like sluts” aren’t guys who couldn’t sort out a mixed signal, or because the jury doesn’t buy that it wasn’t a case of “buyer’s remorse.” Read up on the Julian Assanage case or the William Kennedy Smith case. The jury has premitted the attitude that “she wanted to have a sensual time with SOMEONE, therefore she gave ANYONE the lisence to do whatever to her, no matter how painful. In the Kennedy Smith case, it was because she wore black, lacy panties
Are you SURE your daughter has never worn black, lacy panties? If you’re younger, are you sure your wife never did in her single days?
This rally totally a wrong-headed response, since it promotes promiscuity and degradation. (Who rages against burglary by leaving their doors unlocked?) But there is also real, justified rage. And frankly, if we Christians do our job and answer, “Yes, but...” instead of “No,” we may find that there is a value in the argument, “Even if they are sluts, they are still people who do not deserve terror, torture and rape.”
Do you like Ukranian food...? Oxtail dumplings...?
But who will feel the sting of your rebuke stronger, the rape victim or the rapist? And why post the photo, which might be titillating to a lot of younger men?
Why is the word sluts in quotations in the title? Doesn’t that usually signify that it’s not true?
