'I found out I was the lowest paid at the table': Morning Joe's Mika Brzezinski reveals she almost quit over gender pay gap
Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski has revealed she almost quit the show after just a year because she was earning far less than her male colleagues.
The 44-year-old said she discovered she took home 14 times less than co-host Joe Scarborough - so little she struggled to make ends meet.
Ms Brzezinski makes the revelations in her new book, 'Knowing Your Value', in which she discusses how women can negotiate the salary they're worth.

My thoughts exactly. I don’t know what she makes, but I think she’s above average for mentally retarded folks. (no offense to other mentally retarded folks intended).
Seems she is pretty well compensated for mostly sitting around in slack-jawed, bovine stupidity, occasionally interjecting nonsequiters into conversations she doesn’t understand and spouting DNC talking points that she imagines she thought up on her own.
That may be the best description of Mika that I’ve ever seen!!
Many would rather have an “all guy show” like the Huntley/Brinkly Report than the feather-headed tripe than the affirmative action staffed “entertainment” that gets presented today to appeal to the ladies.
Even at her starting salary, she was overpaid.

Hey, that infotainment junk does not appeal to me, and I am a lady. I’d much rather listen to men on the air anyway, as most women on TV have annoying voices.

Well, you do get what you pay for. And in Mika’s case, that isn’t a whole hell of a lot.
What these people never stop to consider is: are they really worth whatever they’re paying them? I never watch Morning Joe, so other people on this forum will have to tell me if Mika’s worth whatever she’s making or more.

My thoughts exactly. Every time I have seen her, I have wondered what her actual role is on the show. She has a perpetual discontented look on her face and as far as I can see, adds nothing to the conversation.
And spouting DNC talking points (that she read directly off her Blackberry) and imagines she thought them up on her own.
1) Don't men have to pay for childcare too?
2)Men don't dress on air?
2)If she didn't trowel on her makeup like a Vegas showgirl doing the 1AM show she could cut that makeup bill by at least half.
3)Men don't travel?
Yeah, you’ve got that right . . . it’s a barren wasteland between her ears.
